GUI changes for v3.0

I have 1 tab open with the Now Playing node selected and the Now Playing Bar activated with a Theater Mode. In the Now Playing Bar everything is displayed well, but when I go to another tab and then go back to the Now Playing tab, the Artist Pictures won't display anymore until I select the Theater Mode again or until I switch to another song. This happens with all Theater Modes, and only in the Now Playing Node.

its working fine for me. Can you either PM me a link to your settings file (prefered) or post a screenshot so i can see the layout

The scroll bar buttons for scrolling through the Custom Tags (Preferences> Tags(1) do work, but result in extremely slow scrolling.
The same for the scrollbar buttons for the whole Layout(1) and File Converters panels.

there is a bug but i dont get the same behavior. The bug i found is fixed so when the update is available let me know if it is fixed

Enjoying the MB3 beta!

I am sure this has been asked before so apologies. In MB2, the thumbnail browser is a slave to the column browser. However, with the thumbnail browser now being positioned to the left of the column browser, would it not make sense for this to be the reverse? If I choose say an artist or genre in the thumbnail browser, should the column browser not follow suit? Intuitively would seem to make more sense that the first column visually (thumbnail browser) confers changes to the columns to the right of it.

I know many are probably used to the thumbnail browser functioning the way it does but just a thought.

in recent versions you can move the thumbnail browser into the main panel to the right of the column browser

The search item "Search Internet for picture" does not display the right window for VA albums. I get "Auto-Tag: Update Missing Artwork" instead of the usual "Artwork: name of a track" with a selection of pictures from iTunes, last.fm, Google and fanart.tv

The artwork is not displayed for these VA albums even though there's a picture file present in the folder.

its working fine for me and i havent made any changes around this. Can you post a screenshot so i can see the picture you right clicked on and also the dialog that pops up

when selecting multiple files, if the album or album artist are not consistent then that dialog is opened ie. there isnt a single album artist/album to download a picture for

unzip into the musicbee application folder and run MusicBee3.exe
- fixes and changes for the items stated as fixed above
- when you drag from the main panel in the left direction and the left sidebar is hidden then it will pop up automatically. I might change it to only do that if the left sidebar is configured as auto-open (as opposed to "hide") in case people dont like this new behavior
- i have made a start on tab pinning - just right click on a tab/ Pin. I really havent tested it and off the top of my head still needs to move the tab to the left side when first pinned and inbox/podcast counters

That's a nice surprise, and it works pretty well already.
I've been playing around with it and noticed a couple things;
When opening a new tab next to a pinned tab there is a blank space to the left that probably shouldn't be there.
A pinned music explorer tab doesn't automatically refresh the playing artist.

It seems to me that pinned tabs now makes the playlist manager a more viable alternative to the left sidebar, but I would still miss the devices node when syncing playlists to my phone.

Since a fairly recent update, the file selection window for "Replace File" takes up most of the screen, and can't be moved or resized.

Are you familiar with the configure layout screen? Tick to enable the column browser and thumb browser, then drag and drop the thumb browser underneath the column browser in the main panel section.
