I ran into this quirk in the main panel view (I mean the selection between Tracks, Album and Tracks Album Covers, and Artists). I use the Artists view, grouping by album artists.
When I search, it adds a new node called Search Results, which isn't displayed by default. It has its own view (Album Covers).
The Search Results node has been around for quite a while in v3.  However, its behavior appears to have changed recently.  See the bug report I just posted: http://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=17564.msg104545#new
Download the latest MusicBee v3.6 patch from here.

unzip into the musicbee application folder and run MusicBee3.exe
- fixes for the items stated as fixed above
- for the "Track with Thumbnail" layout in the Playing Tracks panel, you can now place a limited number of fields on the right (Rating, Love and Duration). No doubt someone will want additional fields but i will only add it if the field is a small size
- tweaks to the Now Playing Panel configuration dialog

- tweaks to the Now Playing Panel configuration dialog

When adding elements to Playlist view, clicking on apply or save doesn't change the layout. You have to refresh the tab.
Also adding now playing bar works after save, not when clicking on apply.

I created a playlist with the Duplicates Manager tool (thanks for the playlist naming prompt!).  When I selected one file and use it to replace another, the original file is not removed from the playlist, it just floats to the top with a (!).

Also, while editing files in an auto playlist, I find that if I edit one file in such a way that it will be removed from the playlist, I can use the > arrow to go to the next file (correctly), but if I edit the second file and use the > arrow again, it then takes me back to the first file in the playlist. (To be clear: the tag editor is open the entire time.  First file good, second file correct - but it is not shown as selected in the main panel - third file incorrect.)

I somehow managed to drag the podcast panel beneath the left sidebar. the most left column (title) is now hidden for the most part:

Hiding the left sidebar doesn't resolve it:

I haven't noticed this before, but after one of the latest patches, Artist name is dispayed to the right of every album.  I cannot find a setting to remove this.

Looks like you have adjusted sub-grouping header setting from view configuration dialog.

I'm a new user of MusicBee, trying to get used to it and to benefit from it's various possible customizations.

May I suggest a few improvements (amoung which some may be impossible to do or won't seem necessary) :

- would it be possible to enhance the library explorer by letting users choose multiple tag types to make a first discrimination between artists and albums, a bit like a second column browser. This way, you could for example select in the library explorer the genre and the country. Then you would go into the column browser and browse the corresponding files for exemple by year, artist and album.
I suggest that because the library explorer occupies an important section of the screen and could thus be all the more useful.

- in the actual configuration, the artist thumbnail (which is absolutely wonderful - and can by customized !!!) is necessarily at the left of the vertical column brower. Could it become possible to switch them ? It could for exemple be used to display Album Years before selecting Artists.

- would it be possible to add an optional second Thumbnail browser ?

- last but not least, I would dream of a future MusicBee version that could handle audio servers... making it easier to connect to a NAS, to plex or minimserver, etc.

I am sorry if I suggest things that can't be achieved : I have no clue what is possible and what is not.

Thank you very much for your investment in such a projet.

This functionality has been around for years. Library explorer filters with category and then sort by fields. Then you can further filter using thumbnail & column browser.
