I tried experimenting with the arrangement in the Now Playing Panel. Now it won't open I just get this error:

A minor bug. When switching from compact player to main player, the maximized player gets a little bigger. 



Strangely, if you repeat that, it gets normal, bigger, normal, bigger... This doesn't happen when switching from mini player.

Speaking about the Analyze Volume dialog, I'd like to request a few changes:

1. Make the "adjusted calculated replaygain values" slider larger. It's difficult to slide in 0.1dB increments. An alternative would be to put inc/dec buttons on either side to bump the adjustment up/down by 0.1dB.

2. Add a Zero button to the "adjusted calculated replaygain values" slider. That makes it easier to reset the dialog from the last album it processed.

3. Don't auto-dismiss the dialog. Or add an option to auto-dismiss. I've found that occasionally, when I need to adjust several tracks' track-specific replay gain settings, sometimes the dialog will auto-dismiss even though a few of the tracks actually would clip (even with the alert checked on).

4. Would it be so difficult to add some logic to this whole process to fully automate the replay gain values to prevent clipping for both tracks and album values? As it stands now, I typically start with both basis checked and 0dB, then (if necessary) I have to manually adjust the album basis first, then go through each track (that clips) individually adjusting them. Seems like this could be totally automated.

There's been a lot of discussion about this in the past, and as I remember, Steven was strongly against doing this, partly because much of the clipping is un-noticeable anyway.

Try temporarily deleting the Theatre Mode plugin and see if you can get MB started.   You can simply rename mb_TheaterModePlugin.dll to mb_TheaterModePlugin.dll.OLD.  If MB starts then shut it down, remove the .OLD from the plugin and try again.

In any of the three main panel views (Artwork, Tracks,  Albums & Tracks) when clicking 'Customize Panel" the panel always opens towards the upper left of the MB window.  Can it please be made persistent?  thanks.

It seems the option to hide progress bar in sidebar player is missing. I have wavebar right below the player, so progress bar is an unneeded extra.

Another thing:
Lot of section headers in Preferences dialog are truncated, while other are OK, fe. in General: Application, Notification tray are truncated, File types are OK, and Confirmation is missing a small gap after the header text. When looking at translation, it is not consistent in any way with tabs/spaces around these names.

Question about deleting files:

I wanted to delete some files physically and simply pressed Del because I thought MB would ask me how to delete the files (library only or pyhsically).
It seems that this works different in MB3x.
Now the files are gone from the library but are still on my hd.

nothing has been changing around the file deletion handling. You probably dont have "confirm file deletion..." set in first preferences tab. It will give youi the option of deleting from the library only/ deleting from library and computer

a few patches ago I could filter by click with the Mouse.
in this case, I could filter "Nachtstrom Schallplatten".
all "Nachtstrom Schallplatten" shown to me.
but now "Nachtstrom Schallplatten" is not clickable

I'm really having some issues with the new Now Playing panel.

For those of us who have high quality album art, it's nice to be able to display it as large.  I tried to create a TM view, but there's no support for rotating album art. The only way I found I could do this, while displaying the artist pictures as well, was to view the Now Playing panel using TM alongside the right sidebar. I was generally pleased with the result:


The new Now Playing panel has an embedded sidebar, which has no option for album art (like the original Now Playing sidebar does). I'm also not a fan of the small Album Art in the corner or that the Artist Picture is zoomed so far that half of it is cut off:


So fair enough, I decided to try the TM view, but now there's no sidebar at all. Instead, pressing the sidebar button rotates the Artist Picture in the main panel:


Oddly, when viewing the Now Playing panel with the Playlist in the main panel (found the term a bit confusing as it is the Now Playing List and not really a playlist), the original sidebar is now displayed instead of the new embedded one:


I would really appreciate some sort of solution to this problem. Either a way to view Album Art within the new embedded sidebar, or the option to use the other sidebar (as with Playlist view above). Of course, there would need to be an option to view the sidebar with TM displayed as well. If not, I guess I'll just be one of those old guys shaking my fist at newer/better versions (while still enjoying v2.5).

sending (moving) files to organised folders lasts forever and sometimes doesn't succeed at all.

I've noticed that the Analyze Volume dialog doesn't seem to update while it is operating. Once I hit "Proceed", it runs, never updates, and then closes when it's finished.

i cannot reproduce this. Just to be clear are you refering to the dialog window or the status bar ie. the volume analysis dialog is minimised
