Made the jump last night and starting to get a feel for the layout and options.  I have my Main Panel layout listed by Artists and when I double-click on an Artist with multiple albums, I'm trying to get it to fill up the panel with each album cover by that Artist in the Panel like my setup with MB2.  Instead, it just shows the Artist again with the first album cover displayed and a bunch of blank space in the panel.  I can select the artist and then the albums are shown horizontally below, but I prefer to have the panel filled with album selections.  If I change the view to Albums that works, but then when I go back to the full library, all of the albums in the library are shown instead of just being listed/grouped by Artist.
i dont understand what you mean. I suggest you post a link to a screenshot of your MB2 setup and your MB3 setup so i can see the issue. If you are using the beta from a week ago, i suggest you download the latest patch as a lot of bugs have been fixed, and unzip it into the folder where MB is installed

Here's what I see when I open MB2:
http://i1368.photobucket.com/albums/ag200/superstartim19/Musicbee/Capture%20MB2.0_zpsimcl4m9q.jpg

Here's what I see when I double-click on an artist (ex. Aerosmith) in MB2:
http://i1368.photobucket.com/albums/ag200/superstartim19/Musicbee/Capture%20MB2.0%20albums_zpszir7eqep.jpg

Now in MB3, when I double-click on an artist this is what I see:
http://i1368.photobucket.com/albums/ag200/superstartim19/Musicbee/Capture%20MB3.0%20after%20double%20click%20artist_zpsxbsq7qhr.jpg

My preference would be the MB2 view shown above that fills the Main Panel up with all of the Aerosmith albums in my library.

I don't remember how it behaved in previous versions, but it does make sense for albums to be displayed when double clicking the artist group in the main panel, assuming that "show album contents" is also enabled.

@superstar19
In the mean time you could use either the column browser or the thumbnail browser to filter albums by an artist.

I've re-opened MB3 and I'm getting yet a different view when I double click on an artist:

This is not quite what I'm looking for but definitely more useful than what I was getting before.

I've just noticed that in 3.0 you can't drag the progressbar button to any desired position of the progressbar, the cancel symbol appears and music stops playing. Is this behaviour intended or is it a bug?
I havent encountered that. Would you mind posting a screenshot so i can see where you mean and let me know the skin as well (or send me a link if its in development)
edit:
nevermind - its from a recent change made and its fixed for the next update

On Recommendations node, when I select any of Top Artists I get this by scrolling down to the bottom and then scrolling up.

Always reproducible, but if I select the same artist again, this never happens. Probably something to with handling image cache.

When clicking in the header for the "play" column, it generates an error. In v2.5 it was used to select all tracks.
thats fixed for the next update

The way it should be working is MB defaults to Album and Tracks layout when you first drill down into an artist. You can change the layout to Artists or any other layout in the drill-down view. This setting is not persisted, so on the next restart the drill-down should revert to Album and Tracks. For the next update i have changed it so MB remembers the layout used on drill-down. There is also a bug where the layout used on drill-down overwrites the parent layout if you exit MB with the dtill-down active. Thats fixed.

If thats not the behavior you experience then i would need a link to your settings file (help/ support/ view settings)

although i cant reproduce the behavior in your screenshot i am able to detect an internal inconsistency when images are first cached - thats fixed now. So hopefully thats the same as the issue you found

In v2.5, it was possible to "Update Play Order". I didn't find this in v3.0.
v2.5

v3.0

This was a very useful functionality for me, because I use to play albums from Windows Explorer. When I right-click a Windows MP3 folder > "Play with MusicBee", tracks are very frequently misordered (you can see it in the v3.0 screenshot). I think this is more a Windows issue, not MusicBee issue, but MusicBee should then allow to "sort" the play order.

I was a Winamp lover... until I discovered MusicBee! No other music player can beat it!

I don't seem to understand: is V3.0 a new interface, ie layout changes only, or will MB as such receive changes? Thank you!

The main change for now is that for MB v3, the graphic user interface has been completely redesigned internally. This should  make it a little bit easier for Steven to be able to continue developping MusicBee.

During this dynamic process, also other changes have been made, many new and older requests have been implemented, and squashing bugs is also continuing with relentless effort.

So it is a transitional process, with lots of things going on at the same time.

To sum it up, the priority now is probably to get the new engine running reliable and smoothly, and kill all bugs that roar their heads during this process.

When that has been accomplished to a satisfactory degree, there will probably be a shift where the focus can be more on new features and new requests.

No. I am guessing there might be one be published when v3 is released officially.
