its currently set to 40 seconds. I was thinking of increasing it to 60 seconds anyway to reduce the load on servers so i will at least do that without any configuration option.
However the request you are making is not something i would expect so i am wondering if i am missing some point here.

Sometime i have really SLOW internet, and doing anything else while MB trying to download an artists image have serious impact. It is not something most people will face, but i wan't to decide how often i want musicbee to download image, maybe 1/2 image for a single 4minute song(by setting the interval higher), currently it gets 3-4 images for that same song.

another issue is bandwidth, where i live bandwidth cap is a serious problem.
ofc it is not the MOST wanted feature, but is handy for users like me.

i have changed the rotation interval to 60 seconds. However my suggestion is to untick "retrieve web pictures" from the customisation panel. MB will still download one picture if there are none

Steven, thank you for fixing the virtual files issue at the computer node ! :) so crazy fast :)

I found 2 another issues with the virtual files (but only at the first use):

1st: After an application restart and the last file is a virtual file, the parent node (Drive I:\) is uncollapsed but there aren't any child nodes displayed. Only after collapsing and uncollapsing the parent node the child nodes are shown.

2nd: If there are more audio files with cuesheets in the same folder (like 3 CD rips in one folder),
the filelist is only showing the virtual files from one cuesheet (all tracks from CD1.cue) the other are just displayed as the source file (CD1.wav, CD3.wav).

But the issues dissappeared after the first time and then it worked without any further problems.

edit: ok forget the temporary problem, sometimes virtual files aren't showing after refreshing the filelist.

unzip into the musicbee application folder and run MusicBee3.exe

- various fixes
- some tweaks to the Now Playing panel. I cant say i am completely happy with the setting where the right sidebar is overlayed onto the artist picture, so suggestions will be welcome

edit: ok forget the temporary problem, sometimes virtual files aren't showing after refreshing the filelist.
if you ripped any cd's using MB3 with "rip as single file with embeded cuesheets enabled" then you will need to re-rip those files
otherwise i am not able to reproduce the issues as you described

Thanks again for the fast response!
I tried 15-20 cues I opened before without any problem.

Except for new files. The filelist dosn't display the virtual files but if I open the .cue directly with MB, MB can read it properly.

edit: ... after opening directly, the virtual files appeared correctly in the filelist. Seems like MB cached the .cue lines.

edit2: http://puu.sh/mkWPM/7216a8f831.png after refresh the filelist or loading the .cue directly the tracks are shown properly.

MB 3 v3.0.5848:

While listening to a radio station, the Cover Art will auto-fill in for the current song as expected. If I then change the Rating for that radio station, the Cover Art disappears, and "No Cover Art" is shown.

This appeared to freeze Musicbee,

It kept displaying exactly this for 5 minutes or so, as if it was permanently stuck, but then recovered and finished the action.

Then, I clicked on artist picture location and got presented with this,

What is the "selected" tab on the right side bar? That tab only shows up when I press on the lyrics tab, when I press on the playing tracks tab it disappears. Really weird function if this is intended.

although i cant be sure what really happened, i have made a change so this runs in the background to prevent GUI lockup

In 2.5 when I right click on the artwork tag, and search internet a new window pops up with a selection of artwork to choose and how to add it. In 3.0 there's no choice, it just picks one. Further, it doesn't save the artwork either.
Everything seems to work fine if I use the manual edit.
working fine for me. Check in the first preferences tab "confirm picture storage options when adding artwork" is ticked

Yes, the preference setting you pointed out was unchecked on my install.

However using the auto-tag feature, MB still isn't saving the artwork as embedded (I do have that selected as default in my prefs). It'll keep the folder.jpg/linked artwork, but if I want to have the artwork embedded I have to use the manual edit.

which specific auto-tag function?

With clicking on the status bar, the ongoing and standard minimized task Artwork Downloader can appear in a window, but then there seems to be no option to minimize this window to the status bar again, and it stays on top.

I haven't checked if this is the case with other by default minimized background tasks as well.
