GUI changes for v3.0

I can't find a way to get rid of "lyrics - right panel" when in Now Playing mode. In any other mode, it is gone. It is unticked in panel configuration, but is still showing under track details.

Are you talking about the 2.5 version?  3.0 doesn't have a right sidebar in Now Playing mode, but this sounds exactly like the 2.x behavior.

V 3 yes.  It says right sidebar under config, and it is displayed there.  In NP I have selected "Playlist - Album and tracks".

1. I played a track 5 times and scrobbled okay to Last.fm and the track showed with a playcount of 5 in MB.
2. I removed the scrobbles from Last.fm and synched with MB, MS still shows 5 plays for the track in MB.
3. I reset the playcount in MB for that file and re-synched with Last.fm, the file still shows 5 plays for the track in MB.

The way MB works is it wont remove the playcounts - better that way in case things dont work as expected

Hello, if I edit a file (something other than rating it) while it's playing, the play count won't increase and it will appear as if the song hasn't been played.

It working fine here too, but then I found another little weird thing. I edited a tag to test above scenario, then changed it back to it's original state, saved it, but the tag inspector keeps showing the altered tag. In the main panel the tag shows the original state, as well as in the tag editor. Then I went into the folder with windows explorer, and the tag shows the altered state there, too. I guess the thing is not really saved at this time (maybe on purpose?) but the scenario is confusing.

thats right - the tags for a playing file cant be physically saved while the file is playing

you are using the new playlist configuration for the Now Playing panel. At the moment you cant configure the right sidebar for the Now Playing panel when using that layout ie. it only shows track information and lyrics.
I am not sure whether i will add customisation for this specific layout in the near term.
If you go to the Music tab, the spectrum visualiser will show in the right sidebar when configured that way (the settings file you sent didnt have it enabled)

How about if we want to sync it to Last.fm and remove any plays that happened in MB (for example if we left a song in repeat by mistake).

Is there any way to actually re-set the playcount? I thought that the Tools>Tagging Tools>Reset Play Count should do that.

ok. I'll keep my fingers crossed for an option for this at a later point then.  Been using the Artist and tracks in NP for years.  Old habits die hard

MB 3 v3.0.5847:

It appears that the Radio Station import isn't working. I can export to the xml file fine, but after deleting all the radio stations and attempting to import the just-exported xml file, nothing shows up. (If I go back to MB 2, I can import the exact same xml file just fine, and doing that also restores the radio station list in MB 3 as well.)

The "music" node in the left navigator is behaving inconsistently when clicked - it should always jump to the top of the library, but for me sometimes it jumps to the bottom of the library, or to the middle of the library, or it jumps in place (ie. doesn't move either way).
The current library view (album covers or grouped by artists) also seems to influence the behavior.
I've sent you my settings file if you need it.

wow, the now playing panel looks really gorgeous!
few things though, track detail background is not nice! maybe something like dark translucent grey.
and a feature request, it would be great to have a interval setting for retrieving artist picture.



also the spacing in the right playig track panel is darn nice, feeling less congested. Hope to see it throughout musicbee's other layouts.
