fixes for the bugs, changes to the video handling as described above, and better compatability with some of the older skins

http://musicbee.niblseed.com/V3_0/MusicBee3_Patched.zip

unzip into the musicbee application folder and run MusicBee3.exe

The command "View: Show A-Z Jump Bar" is missing from the hotkeys panel.
I dropped support for this command due to the change in the way panels are laid out. It would be possible to add it back in now but i dont feel its worth the effort

Hello, if I edit a file (something other than rating it) while it's playing, the play count won't increase and it will appear as if the song hasn't been played.

As shown in the image, it seems the song "Undertaker" (#537) hasn't been played, but the last.fm scrobble log (and last.fm itself) show(s) that it has, and if I restart MusicBee the play count and last played time will be updated... Well this song isn't in my library so it won't be updated, but when this happens to songs that are in my library they are updated.

I know you removed the browser and such but I miss the old playing track panel with last fm bio and such. It was easy to access and it told me how many times I played that artist. Any chance of bringing it back as a plugin maybe?

you get the last.fm bio via the Now Playing Bar. I will add back in the artist play count which isnt there at the moment

It working fine here too, but then I found another little weird thing. I edited a tag to test above scenario, then changed it back to it's original state, saved it, but the tag inspector keeps showing the altered tag. In the main panel the tag shows the original state, as well as in the tag editor. Then I went into the folder with windows explorer, and the tag shows the altered state there, too. I guess the thing is not really saved at this time (maybe on purpose?) but the scenario is confusing.

It seams that the player controls can no longer live in the right or left panel is this intentional?

I like them being there as the top and bottom panels do not work as ergonomically when scrubbing through tracks and changing playback options, most of my mousework is done in the right panel.

You use the 'sidebar player' element for the left/right panels
The 'player controls' go top/bottom or un-tick to remove.

One thing that bugs me, is the left panel. You can only set small/medium/large thumbnails (With no possibility to hide thumbs) and have only one type of tag displayed at a time. This is definetly a step backwards from this http://imgur.com/QIQgun1

Could it be you are confusing the Thumbnail Browser with the Column Browser?
The Column Browser is still there in v3.
You might have disabled it, or maybe have it hidden for your current Tab?

I found another potential bug with the playcount linked to Last.fm playcount.

1. I played a track 5 times and scrobbled okay to Last.fm and the track showed with a playcount of 5 in MB.
2. I removed the scrobbles from Last.fm and synched with MB, MS still shows 5 plays for the track in MB.
3. I reset the playcount in MB for that file and re-synched with Last.fm, the file still shows 5 plays for the track in MB.

I can't find a way to get rid of "lyrics - right panel" when in Now Playing mode. In any other mode, it is gone. It is unticked in panel configuration, but is still showing under track details.
