I need to understand why that setting worked ok for you in v2.5
Can you describe an example where it works as expected in v2.5 but if behaving differently in v3?
For the example i gave above, the behavior was the same in v2.5. It would only work well if you have "highlight selected track" enabled in the "Now Playing" preferences which are not enabled in your settings. Perhaps thats a difference compared to your v2.5 settings?

i'm just doing a comparison with foobar now and i see it does things a little different and in my view its a better way, so i am going to make a change anyway.

unzip into the musicbee application folder and run MusicBee3.exe

fixes for most of the issues reported by Underneath. I will do the remainder tomorrow
Also i have enhanced the "playback follows cursor" setting so it behaves much better when the main panel is not configured to have the playing track selected or highlighted

I think 'Now Playing' could benefit from another option that allows for 'contextual' behavior. For instance, when I double click an album in artwork view I would like it to play only those album's tracks, but at the same time when I double click a song in track view, I would expect it to keep playing the rest of the playlist.
yes i agree. It used to be configured in the Artwork layout but i didnt think that was the appropriate place and removed it but didnt get around to including it with the new setting
I will do that

Two things regarding mini player:
2) It's not possible to use the wide layout if docked at the bottom or top.
do you really want to do that? I didnt include support for that it because it takes up a lot of space

- I found another little issue regarding the not docked mini player. If I click the track list button, the track list will always be displayed below the mini player. I suggest that it should display above, if the player is near the bottom, and below if it's near the top of your screen (if possible).

+1

- However, I would like to bring up again an Auto-DJ issue. This is how to reproduce it: Select a track, play this track, start Auto-DJ. Result: It (the selected track) will appear twice at the start of the generated playing track list. Once should be enough (MB 2.5 behavior).
using your settings file i cant reproduce this with yesterday's version. Does the same thing happen if you preview the tracks first and secondly if you disable playback follows cursor. And thirdly, try using Track Details layout vs. Artwork layout

edit:
never mind - i figured out how to reproduce this now. Its fixed for the next update

- Auto-Tag using Last.fm Tag Cloud windows cuts off at the bottom (https://i.imgur.com/6pkSSpE.png) (tested with more than 70,000 selected files at once)
are you using a computer with > 96dpi

Hi Stephen,

3.0 is looking great. Noticed some bugs
1) thumbnail browser, when i try to change the browser to a custom tag. ill click on any given one of my custom tags in the menu list and instead it selects a different tag in the list and displays that tag. its not random item it selects, but the same one respective to each item you click.
2)use context menu, search, find similiar. musicbee gui freezes (music still plays), let sit for a few minutes, restarted tried with a new song, didnt matter if it was the playing song or not.

I was transferring my music to Samsung Galaxy note II (MTP, not Mass Storage Device).

so here's the left panel gone weird with a big X.

http://www.mediafire.com/download/yg2iu46j3binune/MusicBeeDemo.zip

unzip into the musicbee application folder and run MusicBee3.exe

- fixes for the above
- for the "Play Now" actions, i have added one more setting so that only the clicked album plays in the artwork layout but all tracks are played everywhere else
- the playing tracks list opened from the mini-player should now adapt better to the position of the mini-player in the screen
- the mini player can now be docked to the top/ bottom window using the album cover layout

@Blackened, i put in handling for the error but i dont know why it happens so i wont be surprised if some other glitch happens. Let me know how it goes
@Underneath, for the Auto-tag by track dialog window cutting text off, I can reproduce the exactly the same on a high dpi screen (>96 dpi) so hopefully it will also fix your issue

@Steven
Thanks for the update, I do appreciate the new Play Now action.

If you're still taking requests, I had an idea today - when switching the library view to Artists, it would be really cool if it remembered your selection from earlier (maybe with checkboxes in the submenu?), as it is now I have to click on 'group by' and 'album artist' every time I switch to Artists view, since the default 'artists' doesn't always group albums together. It would certainly save me a few mouse clicks.

i will do that as i am surprised its not already the case

- the artist grouping is now remembered when re-opening the artist artwork layout
- fixed drag/drop not working when dropping on the first column in the album and tracks layout
- fixed a couple of skin bugs
