Hi Steven,
in radio mode its not much useful, that after a double-click on a radio stations(when Radio is playing), that this will be added in the playlist - what makes no sense! Can you make it like in the 2.5 version - Double-click on this and the Radio is played immediately(change the channel/station) and not ranked in the queue!

Ok, how do I simplify "Now Playing" panel to just list currently playing/queued tracks and NOTHING ELSE? I'm fiddling with it and I can't seem to get rid of the left side panel with some sort of graphic as well as the thumbnail placeholder for cover art which is empty, but the box is still there. I don't need any of that, just a simple list of now playing tracks and that's it. I was able to have that in 2.x but not here.

In general, I think setup of panels is WAY too overcomplicated through entire MusicBee. Not to mention there are different rules for each different tab which is even further annoying.

Trying to open a video link through open stream, I get an error in a window, stating 'Unable to invoke vlc.exe' and the program becomes unresponsive for a very long time, after clicking 'Wait for the program to respond' three times, I just had to choose 'Close the program' to get rid of it.

And, yes, the directory was wrong, I fixed that. It's just that the handling could be improved. :)

It will always do that.
Are you very sure that you have other content than that in the now playing panel?

Are you using the new 'configure layout' button next to the search field to make changes?
It should be easy to uncheck anything that you don't want in view.

Please contribute any suggestions to improve on that in the topic that was opened especially for the purpose of gathering ideas and suggestion on improving the panels and interface of the configuration for v3:

edit:
Maybe I am a bit confused.
The panel I am assuming you meant here is currently called 'Playing Tracks' in v3.
Is that the one you are referring to?

When resizing the columns in V3 and having the "Keep Columns Sized to Panel" option ticked, resizing becomes a real pain due to somehow all of the columns being resized by only changing one.
there is no intentional change the column sizing handling nor could i find any differences in the testing i did. When "Keep Columns Sized to Panel" is enabled, only the current and following column are resized, except if the following column has a fixed size or reached the minimum width in which case the following column after that is resized. In your example, the following column "Rating" is a fixed size

i assume you mean "Playing Tracks". Its really very simple. Just untick the elements you dont want in a panel so only "Playing Tracks" remains or drag it into another panel.
To be honest i dont really get why anyone would find that complicated.
For the tab based overrides, there have been plenty of requests for that and you can just leave the defaults as-is. However i agree most users wouldn't need it and i might make a visual adjustment so you dont initially see all those options

I get what you mean, but it seem to still function a bit weird:

In this shot it shows the original version what MB gives me when I press auto size, there is plenty of space for the play count column to be resized to left to take space from the genre column

But it still resizes the columns on the right side. Instead of taking width from the genre column

I came across a bug with the thumb browser. I have mine set to album artist, and when switching between the different sizes of thumbnail, the scrollbar doesn't automatically refresh, meaning that items at the bottom of the list are cut off.

Here are 2 minor things that are not serious bugs, but it would be nice to polish them. They are also present in MBee 2, however I thought it is a good moment to polish them if you think it's woth of it.

1. The MBee miniature in Task View. Here's how it looks now:

As you can see MBee miniature is twice lower than the others, moreover there are 2 unnecessary black fields on both sides of the cover.

Would't it be much nicer if the cover was shown in the full possible size like in this mock-up?

2. In the artwork view when you click the album to see it's details, there is a kind of filter on the cover. You can see that the colors of the cover in album details view (left) are a bit different than those in artwork field on the right. It looks strange imo:

for the first, when you have custom thumbnails for the taskbar as musicbee does in order to show the album cover/ track details then windows renders that way. Unless Microsoft have added in a new API to control that (which i am not aware of) then thats the way it will stay
For the 2nd, there is an intentional colouration adjustment

The clear [X] icon of the search box, at least when it's in the caption bar, is larger than the box itself, showing some lines that fall outside the lower edge of the box.

I had not noticed this before and I'm almost sure that it was never there in earlier drafts.

Default.

Changing to 10pt does 'fix' the problem.
