Merging Genre Tags

I wonder if MB can merge 2 or more genre tags into one, for example "alt-country" and "alternative country", "post punk" and "post-punk". Thanks in advance!

No, but it's pretty easy to do a search and replace to correct the ones that are different.  It's in Tools > Tagging Tools.
