Hi,

I've been trying to get musicbee to recognise my nokia phone in MTP mode for a while now and finally have had some success.  Before using musicbee I had been syncing using WMP.  It looks like WMP likes to hijack MTP devices - once I ended the partnership with my phone in WMP, musicbee was able to detect and sync successfully!  Hope this may be of help to other users.

cheers,
Rob.

thats interesting as i thought WMP was only needed for XP. For Vista+ i thought all the necessary dll's came with windows.
Are you using a European version of Windows by any chance?

No - Australian version (if there is such a thing). Though, I just noticed that since ending the partnership in WMP, different drivers are being used for the phone. When I initially established the sync partnership with WMP I hadn't installed the nokia PC-suite and a generic windows S60 device MTP drive was being used.  Since then I have installed all the nokia stuff and now, having ended the sync partnership with WMP, the phone is showing in windows as an E55 (not just an 'S60 MTP Device') and is using the nokia drivers.  Hope that is clear enought to understand .........
