I switched to Musicbee from MediaMonkey a few months back.  If MusicBee had an Android application I'd pay for it.  Make an easy yet slick layout, WiFi syncs (including play count), etc.  Thanks!

For an Android player similar to MusicBee, check out GoneMad Music Player (GMMP).  It's similarly SUPER flexible, and gives you a two-week full trial.

But is there a way to use GMMP on Android along with MusicBee on the desktop?  I want to be able to transfer my playlists from PC to Android.

Sure. I sync lots of playlists with MB and GMMP has no problem with them.

Another option is Poweramp:  https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maxmpz.audioplayer
I went back and forth between Poweramp and GoneMad and decided on Poweramp.  Both have trial periods.  Both work well with MB as far as syncing playlists and tracks.  I can't remember why I settled on Poweramp, but they are both pretty decent.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

There must be a way to adapt an open source player so that he can comunicate with MB. This can syncronize reasonable and also can transfer the playcounts. Is there anyone here who is familiar with the programming of Android?

I have Poweramp. How do you synch playlists with MB?

All those apps don't read mp3 on a samba server like MB do, or am I wrong?

In MusicBee go to the device settings, click on sync settings, and tick the playlists you want to copy.
Poweramp will read the playlists you copied and display the contents on your device.
