Author Topic: Grouping albums by composer in one playlist  (Read 2393 times)

Hello,

I have a playlist for all of my classical music, and I wonder if there is any way of grouping albums by composer rather than artist for just this one playlist? Whenever I try to group albums for composers, it does so in the music library and all the other playlists as well.

I tried searching around on the forums, but couldn't find an answer.

Thanks in advance.

Open edit pane of the playlist and tick "custom fields for this playlist only" option. Then it will no longer affect other default-fields playlists.

For more details, have a look at this how-to thread: http://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=9684.0

I forgot to mention that it's an auto-playlist (automatically including all classical music) where I can't find a "custom fields for this playlist only" option.

Thanks though, I will check out that thread and see if I find a solution.

Save the current view as a custom view (Layout Menu... Custom Views... Copy Current Settings To...).  Then you can edit it however you like without affecting other views.
