MP3 Files on Network Drive Not Updating

Hi All, Really liking MusicBee and have been using it as my music manager for a couple weeks now. But I ran into a weird problem and haven't found any answers on what may be causing it. If I add files to the library from a network storage device, Western Digital Network Device, and update the tags to the files, specifically lyrics, sometimes it updates the files and other times it does not.
I've tried running as a regular user and admin and without any consistent results. The last test 2 out of 5 files updated with lyrics. The other 3 did not.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: some success, when I update the lyrics and then artwork the files will update. Just updating lyrics doesn't appear to force a save on the mp3 file. No consistent results though. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
