When switching to another artist type, the number of tracks displayed for each item in thumbnail browser doesn't match with what's shown in the main panel.
if one of the artists was selected at the time then its incorrectly only reloading the files only of that one artist. If thats what you mean then thats fixed

Working better. The only inconsistency left is when switching to another type, thumbnail browser gets reset to "all artists(composers)", but main panel still shows previous filtered results.

- it now shows album count for Artists and Genres if the main panel layout is Album and Tracks or Artwork
Very clever

Steven do you think the work you did on the thumbnail browser could be used to create a now playing list layout i proposed here (the second one)?

@ma_t14:

The only thing I would like to see in a future version is the ability to select larger sized thumbnails for people with large monitors.

This is off-topic, but I'm just curious while reading some article: how does MB look on your 2K monitor? (I'm assuming you're on Windows 8.1) Look blurry or crisp? And what about TM views' scaling in full-screen mode?

"That said, Windows 8.1 does not somehow fix the inconsistent behavior of third-party desktop apps when you're using Windows' scaling features. The Start screen and apps from the Windows Store mostly look great, but on the desktop the state of things is the same as it was when we reviewed the Kirabook. Some applications just look blurry, some are crisp but exhibit odd rendering problems, and others ignore the scaling settings entirely."

This is off-topic, Steven, but since you're already providing betas for version 2.3, will you release the final 2.2 soon? I've been testing with MB a lot and I'd love to have a clean portable installation. Thanks!

@Steven
Could you add "Genre Category", plz?

Steven do you think the work you did on the thumbnail browser could be used to create a now playing list layout i proposed here (the second one)?

Love this feature! Could you please make it so that we can increase the size of the image, i.e. the size of the box each artist/genera is displayed in?

this added support for "Genre Category" and "Grouping" (use the genres icon folder to show your own icons for both)
and has optional support for larger thumbnails (56x56)

Nice, thank you!

Off topic: what about adding "Grouping" to the Artwork panel layout too? We can actually group by album, album artist, sort album artist, artist, sort artist, composer or sort composer. Adding "grouping" here would make sens IMHO.
Would be really usefull for managing Box set, separating release type & status (album / compilation / live / single...) or giving more flexibility for managing "classical" music.
The ability to copy/paste an artwork when we group by "grouping", like we can do for artists and composers would be nice too.

Installed MB 5070, really nice vertical artwork view.

Maybe one small issue though: when viewing with the vertical view with all albums, if I delete a track then the vertical view gets reduced to the only album the deleted belonged to.
Hope this helps.

When sorting by Album Artist, if a track's Album Artist tag is empty, the track is shown in both the 'Empty' category at the top of the browser, and additionally below it.
 I would expect all tracks without Artist Album metadata to be collected in the 'Empty' category, and everything else to be listed below.

Also, when editing metadata of tracks after choosing the 'Empty' category, after saving, the position of the main browser window resets to the top rather than keeping focus where it is

Album Artist is treated exactly the same way as it is in the column browser and i'm not willing to change that ie. if there is no album artist tag then it uses the artist tag instead - i think most people would prefer it this way
