Do you plan to make it possible to use these in virtual tags?

you can use them in virtual tags (i know they arent accessible via the ... menu button but i am going to change the field selector)
eg.
$IsNull(<Artists: Performer>,,<Artists: Performer>)

You're right, thanks!  I probably didn't enter the tag name correctly when I tried it before.

Thanks Steven! This makes the programme's display functions even more comprehensive.

As an example of how useful this is, I've created a virtual tag as follows:

$IsNull(<Display Artist>,,A)$IsNull(<Artists: Performer>,,P)$IsNull(<Artists: Guest>,,G)$IsNull(<Artists: Remixer>,,R)$IsNull(<Musicians>,,M)

With that tag in the main panel, I can instantly see which tracks I've already set the correct values for (and need to be careful about editing!), as well as which ones might need attention.

Wow.  For anyone who's really particular about the details attributed to their music, this will be a godsend.  I don't know if I'll try to use this immediately because, gosh, the adjustments on so large a collection will be painful, but I'm grateful for the option.

 Steven, you rock.  Thank you.

i have changed it so when editing the artist in the Tags(1) panel of the tag editor, it no longer resets the associated artists ie. it only updates the display artist value.
Its in the next v2.3 update
