i'm going to give this one more go, but which skin are you using for the Adele example?

this should work better - the visualiser now is really mild now with variations from the default text colour

however the Darknight Red skin is difficult because of the red text colour, so i have added a skin override for the visualiser base colour if you feel its needed:
PlayerMini.Spectrum  fg

Working great! No more complaints. Thanks!

When rating and love icon are not shown, player controls look a little too low.
How about moving them up a little?

Sorry if I double an already discussed issue, but I haven't been here for a while:

Is there a chance to set an option that MiniPlayer would show a smal NowPlaying window (3 or 4 rows woukld fit, I guess), instead of Spectrum Visualiser?
I never use/look at the Visualiser and if there are any other people like me, I guess it would be convenient to have a small NowPlaying window instead.

cheers!

It's not clear to me what you want. Can you make a mockup?

I started with messing with this while updating Mellon Remix, and I *really* like it.  Once again MusicBee is changing my habits with its awesome features.

Any chance of getting a working Love/Ban button for it?  As with Compact Player, the version shown in the track details is not really functional.

Edit: Actually, never mind the love button.  There's are so many problems with them that I don't think it's worth your time to keep tracking them down.  Sorry.

What would be *really* nice, though, is the option to put the progress bar at the top when the mini player is docked at the top.  That way there's less risk of it accidentally being grabbed.

Yes, it's the ban function that's usually the problem.  I can toggle love fine (usually), I just can't ban, which is actually the function that matters more to me.  It's working great in the main panel and now playing list, but has consistently been a problem anywhere else.  For instance, the Compact Player only allows banning if the player controls are NOT overlaid).  (There's also no hotkey for it, but I've started trying to retrain myself to use the "bomb" hotkey, because I seriously don't expect you to go chasing down every problem with this just for my sake.)

This is not just about mini player, but happens in any player mode. While a track is playing, I can love and unlove with any mp3 files, but not with any of m4a files. Is this an expected behavior?

the file format has no bearing what so-ever on whether a track can be loved or not, and trying now its working fine.
If you have a last.fm account, then the file must have an artist and title as a requirement to sync it with last.fm.
Also if the file has 0 duration, it would also not update.
So if none of those apply then it will remain a mystery as to why it doesnt work for you.
