Intelligent fade-out

It might be interesting to add the feature of "intelligent fade-out" - if the end of current track is not silent, fade-out the track before going to the next track.
It would be nice for live or medley tracks.

It's different in that if a track ends with a silence, no fade out is performed.

thats what i thought you might say but i dont understand because whether you fade out silence or not would surely make no difference as there is already no sound. Do you mean you want it to skip the silence if it ends in silence?

I assume butty means that currently when a track e.g. has applause at the end which isn't being fade-out because of the next live track on that album, it would be nice if it would be fade-out so not ending abruptly when playing a next song from another album.
If a track ends silently anyway, no fade-out would be necessary.

The same could be wished for when starting an 'applauded' track after a faded out track.
Yet both probably will be difficult to achieve, since lot's of songs start, and end quite abruptly without having applause.
This might actually be wishing for an 'applause recognizer'. ;-)

It probably is less difficult than I first imagined.
Applauded tracks will have sound immediately in the first and last sample. Non-applauded tracks have probably always silent first and last sample(s).

Before answering, I have to write the background: I usually listen to the songs in the library with shuffling. In the situation, medley or live tracks are split, and end without any silence.

No,  I don't want to skip silence. Fade out only when there's a sound at the end of track. For ordinary tracks, there's no difference, however, when shuffling medley or live tracks, there's a difference.
