Hi, I think it would be really cool if you can make it possible that we can change the file type icons if we associate MusicBee with certain file types.
For example I dont like to have the MusicBee Icon for my mp3 files because I like the WMP mp3 icons much more (maybe you could also create for each file type a standard icon, like you did for the application icon which we can change). So I would really appreciate it if you would add this feature. :)

You can achive this without Musicbee help.

for Windows XP:
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows/customizing-your-icons-in-windows-xp/
search - Change Icons for Regular File Types - in article

for Windows Vista & 7:
use this program http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/file_types_manager.html

You'll find WMP icon in wmplayer.exe file in C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player folder

@Moderators

I suggest to move this topic to the Customisations board, so that users could find it easier.
If you don't want to create a separate Icons section, perhaps put it to the Skins until more icon packs for MB are created.
Skins and Icons are stored in the same folder in MB.

Taking into consideration the cHORPO's tip, How-To's board would be also a better place for this topic than the current one.

File Types Manager would not let me change a file type icon to a PNG file, so it does not seem to really support Vista.

to get the icon pack created by ferongr

MusicBee icon pack  (created by ferongr based on the original musicbee icon created by v4lve)
  http://www.mediafire.com/?1s2b400f64je9ml
unzip in the folder musicbee is installed, so you should end with something like:
  c:\program file\musicbee\icons\*.ico
if you run MusicBee in admin mode and have any file types associated to MusicBee in the main preferences page, these icons will automatically be associated to the relevant music file types

is there any simply way to get rid of the icons from the icon pack? they don't look so good in the windows explorer 'detail' view, and i always browse music files this way. i did like the single standard one better.

just erasing the 'icons' folder did not do it, not even after a restart as admin, etc.

best,
guido.
