Hi all,
I'm having trouble understanding the purpose of the MUSIC tab. Mine is almost empty, even though I have a lot of artists and albums in my library, which I can see perfectly in the MUSIC EXPLORER tab.

Basically, the MUSIC tab only shows two songs, which happen to be in the root of my music library folder. All the other songs are stored in subdirectories organized by artist and album.

I haven't found any way to organize or populate the MUSIC tab with the rest of my collection.

I also tried creating a new tab, but that was even worse: just a blank panel with no option to add anything.

Am I missing something?

Sure sounds like it.  :-)

When you started MB for the first time you were asked to create a library. Did you point MB to the drive and/or directories where your music files are? If so, then they all might be in your Inbox. If not, then from the menu bar use files > scan folders for new files.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

If the artists, albums and tracks are displayed in the Music Explorer then I think they must have been added to the Music Library (and are not in the Inbox).

My suspicion is that you have set the 'Music' tab to the Computer Node at the root level of your music files - could you post a screenshot of your whole MusicBee window so we can have a look at where you are.

Thank you for your answer!

Here’s a screenshot of my Music Explorer tab:

And this is what I see in the Music tab:

Here’s the new Music tab I created, hoping to view my recently added music:

I know there’s a “Recently Added” playlist, but I was hoping there might be a better way to browse it visually.

OK, so with your new Music tab, move your mouse to the left side of the MusicBee window then the left sidebar should pop open.
(If this doesn't happen, then click on the Configure Layout button - icon to the left of the search box - select Left Sidebar > Show Panel)

This will display the Navigator panel.
The selection here sets the underlying choice for what is displayed in the main panel (on this tab).
I think you will just want to select 'Music' at the top.

If this doesn't fix it I think we will need another screenshot with this selected.

It's more clear now.

I completely missed the sliding navigator panel (not very evident, honestly).

Thanks.
