I think Sony's software is not made for streaming.
Thanks for the reply, but was hoping for something more definitive than "I think."  I know the normal answer would be "why don't you try it yourself and find out?" but if someone else already has and knows, I would rather they do a favor and let us know here instead of making someone install a large and potentially messy application to find out.  BTW, what I'm asking about is the ability to PLAY radio streams, not do streaming itself.  There is no comment one way or the other in the website description.

Sorry. I only mentioned the Sony player to say that it should be possible to output the DSD raw stream with music bee like Sony does.

I understand that but as long as you are using the player yourself I thought you might be open to answering a few questions about it non-related to DSD.  My bad.

It seems to me that hiccup(?) got MB to deliver raw DSD over DoP for some bitrates with ASIO, but can't put my finger on the post right now.
You may be right, but I'm not sure either,.
In the past I indeed put some effort in figuring out things involving so-called hi-res' audio and all sorts of DSD formats.
At the time I had an RME ADI-2 Pro DAC, which was very useful for trying out and testing all this stuff.
I'm sure there will be some posts where I shared some testing and experiences with it.

But, after a lot of testing and using my ears, I decided that 'hi-res' is useless for end-use, and does not offer even the slightest improvement on audio-quality over the good old 16/44.
(if you read up on the opinions of many audio professionals, you will find most of them share the same opinion)

For recording and production stages, using 24 bit instead of 16 bit is essential, but for the end product that ends up for the consumer, 24bit or DSD is useless.
It will only fill both storage space/bandwidth,  and the pockets of audio snake-oil sellers.
(and makes life harder for the developer of MusicBee and forum members trying to provide support for it ;-)

So, even though I appreciate that people are trying to figure out the technicalities and making them work as well as possible, I have decided that for me it makes no sense to invest another minute in this 'hi-res'/DSD stuff.
(when I 'happen' to acquire some DSD or 24-bit audio file, the very first thing that I always do is convert it to 16/44)

So, others than me will need to provide useful information on this.
