Tags(2) - Auto-Tagging Quellen

Ich habe die deutsche Version 3.5.8698 und verzweifel an dem Versuch, bei den Quellen für das Auto-Tagging zusätzliche Anbieter anzugeben. Ich möchte gerne zu den dort festgelegten auch andere Quellen durchsuchen lassen. Aber es gibt offenbar keine Möglichkeit, in den Feldern der Anbieter zusätzlich welche einzufügen.
Geht das generell nicht? Ist das nicht gewollt? Kann man das ändern?

Hintergrund ist der, dass z.B. bei MusicBrainz offenbar nicht alle Titel verfügbar sind, aber möglicherweise bei anderen Seiten....

At the moment, only MusicBrainz is supported by MusicBee - additional sites can be added by way of plugins.

Hi,
e.g. Discogs.com, Musik-Sammler.de, hitparade.ch und selbst bei Amazon oder Wikipedia finde ich viele Daten, die über MusicBrainz gar nicht erst entdeckt werden.
Wenn in der Programmierung schon die Möglichkeit besteht, die Reihenfolge der Abfragequellen zu ändern (Pfeile rauf/runter) dann sollte der Nutzer auch die Chance bekommen, eigene Anbieter dort angeben zu können. Leider geht das nicht und das ist keine Hilfe beim Auto-Tagging. Wenn ich sowieso alles manuell eintragen muß, ist das Auto-Tagging sinnlos!

Was mich am meisten ärgert: MusicBrainz findet nicht einmal die Originaldaten eines Stücks aus den 80ern! Da wird dann irgendeine Coverversion aus einem Sampler von 2019 getaggt, während das Original mal irgendwann 1984 auf einem Album der Gruppe erschienen ist!
Und schon wieder muß ich den Müll manuell ändern und das Auto-Tagging ist für die Katz!!!

For the other sources you mentioned, you will just have to hope that someone develops a plugin for that.

For what it's worth regarding MusicBrainz, you may be able to fine tune your results by delving deeper (from what I hear on the forum, there's no better alternative):

Danke für deine Antwort und die Hilfe.
Aber das ist mir alles zu kompliziert. Weil MusicBee beim Speichern von geänderten Tags dann auch plötzlich bei bereits bearbeiteten Tags desselben Interpreten bei anderen Stücken ein falsches Cover einfügt, werde ich das Programm ab sofort ausschließlich zum Abspielen benutzen und erst mal die Tags der Stücke mit einem anderen Programm bearbeiten und speichern. Da ich das ja sowieso alles manuell machen muß, ist mir die Plattform dafür wurscht. Vielleicht schmeiß ich auch alles wieder runter und benutze den ollen Windows Medienplayer. Schaun mer mal.

It's certainly not to diminish the merits of MusicBee (in my opinion the best music player and manager around there for Windows),
but I had already been used to tagging with mp3tag when I discovered MusicBee, and I've never switched applications for tagging.

As for auto-tagging with mp3tag, you can search 3 sources (one at a time) via the Tag Sources menu :
- freedb
- discogs
- MusicBrainz

Be aware that on discogs all the titles are in "title case" (the first letter of each word is capitalised), regardless of the language,
which is not in line with the usage in German, French, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, ...

One thing to remember is that Musicbee is a player first and foremost that has auto tagging capabilities. The options that are available either  built in or a plugin are sufficient for a vast majority of users. Of course there are many other different apps that might be what you’re looking for but as an all around music player/manager/tag editor you will be pressed to find a better alternative.

That's incorrect. Look at MB's home webpage. MB is a music -manager- first and also a player. It was initially designed to -manage- a music collection. Take a look at the enhancements Steven has made over the years. A clear majority of them are for -managing- one's music.

Yeah, there seemed to be quite a tone of frustration on his posts above.
I initially put it off as a 'loss in translation' kind of thing, but evidently not - the man did not intend to stick around after discovering that "the auto-tagging is useless."
