i'm not too interested in this discussion, my tagging system is pretty basic, but why you just don't rename your "composers" custom tag to something else?
Because I have been using
Composers for a very long time, and my whole system, including MusicBee and MusicBrainz' Picard is set up to use it to contain multi-value composers.
It would be a pain in the ass for me to make changes to both my Picard scripts, my MusicBee custom and virtual tags, and then rewrite all the music files in my classical library.
And for what? What is the benefit?
Also, this has been 'silently' introduced to v3.6 beta (thank you Mayibongwe for noticing), for reasons that are not clear to me at this moment.
So I am really hoping it is open for discussion and not something permanent.
At the moment I think I am one of the very few (maybe the only one?) that have ever suggested or requested having a
Composers tag.
So if this is the fulfillment of a request/suggestion of mine, it threatens to turn out to be a punishment instead of a reward...
