I currently have ~1400 files in my library, and I've meticulously gone through the work of giving the proper titles, artist names, etc. etc, and am looking to move all of my music files from my downloads folder to my music folder, but I do not want to have issues with the file directory looking in the downloads folder, since that is where they were added from. Any advice on how to do this cleanly?

Based on your post my assumption is that your MusicBee Library currently refers to ca. 1400 actual files that physically reside in your "downloads folder", and you wish to physically move the 1400 files to a new folder ("my music folder") and re-link your MusicBee library to their new location.  In that case:

1.  Physically move the files to their new folder

2.  Then, in MusicBee, File-->Library-->Relink Music File Paths;  follow the template there.  Should be easy.
