Hi,

I converted part of my music archive from WAV to AIFF to use meta tags. I've updated my tags with mp3tag and I've written key and energy info with Mixed In Key. I also use Fakin' The Funk to check quality. All works fine; no indication of corrupt meta data and tags are displayed correctly.

However, after importing the processed AIFF files in MusicBee, some files do not show the meta tags.
Mp3tag uses ID3v2.3

I rescanned the files in MusicBee without result.
I updated the meta tags with MusicBee.
That seems to work within MusicBee, but the results are not written to the files.
As a result, when I rescan the files, the tags dissapear again.

I checked if the folders and files were write-protected. This is not the case.
I guess, if they would be protected, also mp3tag wouldn't be able to write the tags.

UPDATE: MusicBee can write to the files. Unfortunately it only removes meta data  :-X

The strange thing is that some files from the same CD/folder are impacted and others display just fine.

You said, SOME files don't show the tags--is there any pattern you can determine with those who don't compared to those that do?  Can you upload one of the AIFF files that do NOT show the tags somewhere so another user can take a look?

I only have a grand total of 1 AIFF file in my library so no expert here, that one has ID3v2.4 tags and they all show up fine in MusicBee--but they are just the "basics" like all of my collection, no exotic extras.
