So this issue has been going on for a while now, but I've just narrowed it down to this program. Every program on my computer easily recognizes CDs I load into my computer except for MusicBee. The minute I fire up the program, no matter if I've just had the CD up and running in another program just before, MusicBee is completely unable to read the disc (even though it recognizes the number of tracks already).

It gets better. Once MusicBee fails to recognize the disc, my D: drive becomes hidden and I cannot access any disc in it afterward. The only way to fix this is to uninstall the driver and restart my computer. This worked out for me once three days ago and I was successfully able to copy a new CD into my computer, but any subsequent attempt to do so has met with complete failure. What can I do?

I had the same issue (in my case it's Drive E:).

I tried to rip a brand new legal CD. I never done this before with musicbee. The Drive would disappear completely every time. First I thought there was a problem with the CD. I started using a DVD player that came with my laptop just to check that cd's were working and it wasn't a hardware or driver issue. To my surprise, not only the other player would recognize the CD, musicbee would also recognize all the metadata for the tracks and album. But the moment you tell musicbee to rip the cd, the drive disappears (you need to restart windows to get it back).

My workaround was to install iTunes and rip it there. But I installed musicbee to stop using iTunes, so a solution would be greatly appreciated.

I also want to note that this wasn't related to the power settings on the laptop (as that may be another reason why this could happen).
