1) How/if you can synchronize the lyrics to play with the song?
2) Can you change the color of the spectrum visualizer or the way it looks?
3) How can you change the color of the highlight when selecting a song, I learned how to change the text color but not the actual background color of the selection? (default is yellow)

1) MiniLyrics is the best source for synced lyrics.  You can also make your own.  Check out these pages:

http://musicbee.wikia.com/wiki/Lyrics
http://musicbee.wikia.com/wiki/Lyrics_Plugins

2 & 3) These are both based on the skin you're using.  For an xml skin, you can change it yourself.  For xmlc skins, you'll need to talk to the skin's creator for help.

I did download MiniLyrics already and downloaded the .dll into the plugins folder. I also have it enabled in the plugins sections, however having problems incorporating the minilyrics into the musicbee gui. It just doesn't display anywhere.

All lyrics will appear in the normal lyrics panel.  However, if a file has both synced and unsynced lyrics attached, you might need to use the tag editor to force the synced lyrics to show.

I believe the lrc filename was to be the same as the corresponding song.
