iTunes library - *nothing* imported

I'm a new user, wanting to move over from iTunes. I have a library of a couple of thousand albums, with iTunes Music Library.xml on R:\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media (a NAS drive). When I try to import this to MusicBee with "Add to the library" option selected, the cursor spins for a couple of minutes then returns me to the dialog, but absolutely nothing seems to have been imported. I've searched this forum, but everyone else seems to be managing to get *something* imported. What am I doing wrong?

i have this exact same issue, itunes library is on a NAS, and when trying to import it (be it with "add to the inbox" or "add to the library"), nothing happens. what are we doing wrong?

nevermind i fixed my issue.

i had copied the entire itunes library onto the nas from a mac. and so the xml file had the old file path in it for every single track.
downloading itunes for windows and importing the library in that first allowed me to get a reformated library file, one that MB could then work with.
