Now that I've been able to connect to the PC I can confirm there is no save button when reaching devices from the left navigator. And as hiccup said, I would not consider this a bug, but more of an oversight.
Full disclosure, not that I have to, but I believe in transparency.The reason MB couldn't see my Android via USB was ... that ... the other end of the USB cord was plugged into ... the charger and not the PC. <sigh>
