I was using MusicBee v3.3 up to this day and tried today v3.5.8 in VM.
Set it up like the previous version v3.3, switched to the compact player and immediately noticed that the background color, which is taken from the album cover, lost all colors.
Why is it so dark, dull and not unique as it was in previous versions? This was arguably one of MusicBee's best visual features, and it's gone now.
Every single track background color looks almost the same, unless it's from a completely different color palette.
Is there any way to get back old color vibrance in the latest MusicBee v3.5.8, or at least add option in the future release to set color vibrance in the settings?
Two examples, top vibrant version v3.3 and bottom dull version v3.5.8:

You are more than welcome to request the change-back in the wishlist board.
I would +1 it as I think the old background looks better judging from your screenshots.

In case nothing comes of it, your only option would be to create a theater mode that resembles MusicBee's Album Colour Mix with a vibrance level of your liking.
Specific questions on how to do that would need to be asked in the Theater Mode board.
