  • Hello, I am a friendly knowledgeable guy.
Okay this may of been posted already, my apologies if it has, but I have run out of patience with this problem.

In the picture provided you can clearly see the artist pictures on the left column which are correct, however as seen in the middle of the display and on the right column it currently shows "The Hollies" in the right column. Depending on the mood of the program the artist pictures can vary depending on the last song played when the program was shut down.

I have tried many times to correct this problem by embedding the picture into the file, however after closing the program it goes back to this state.

I love this program and had great success with it on my other versions of Windows there was not this problem.

However in Windows 11 Build 22H2 this is happening and I am really getting frustrated with it to the point where I am going to delete the program from my PC.

Which would really suck because there is no other program out there that I am aware of that works like this one does.

And for those who are going to ask, yes the .NET Framework 4.8 is installed on my computer.

Not sure if the program already recognizes this or if I have to make it aware.

There are 2 pictures one is of the library, the other is of the player interface.

There is also a problem with some of the songs not showing the lyrics, or showing the wrong ones, I have had to use AZ lyrics to find those that don't show and have had to add them manually to the files.

I buy my MP3's from MP3 Millions so I know all the information I have mentioned are included in the file and should automatically show when the song(s) play.

Any help on these matters would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help.

From the images posted I can see that the issue you have is that the incorrect album artwork is being associated with the tracks in your library - from the 'Playing Tracks' panel in the second image it appears that every track has been associated with 'The Hollies - For Certain Because...' album artwork. This is a Musicbee setting (and not Win11 or DotNet issue).

Without knowing how your music and artwork files are stored it is not possible to give explicit solutions but there is considerable discussion, explanation and instructions on this issue here: https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=39082.0

Took Just One Look Through Any Window(s) version on which I run MusicBee and could not replicate your experience, including on Windows 11 Pro V 22H2 which just updated on Friday. And I don't recall seeing  this particular problem over the years of MB and Win versions. A re-install of MB is what I'd try (I run 3 Installer versions), though I'm not recommending this.

You did help me note that the Hollies are another gap in my collection, and friends and family, as well as my excellent public library's collection are as negligent. Thanks for that, and I did get a nice nostalgic HD stream through Amazon Music. Good luck getting past this, which you will.

Sometimes i have found if i can't get the artwork to stick, or i am not really 'completing the transaction' to EMBED the artwork. the file is read only (change the file properties in file explorer) or file system is corrupted (run disk tools i.e. chkdisk) and or even the file itself is corrupted.   if its every file, that's different...  MP3TAG is a useful tool when you want to get medieval on tags. i use that as a test, if I can't get it done with that probably need to find a new file.  sometimes this even happens with purchased, downloaded, hi-rez files,.  again if its an odd file or a pattern of files from a specific time, or source. vs a general issue.   fwiw. win11 works as great as win10 or any other version i have used.  Win11 may have some bugs or UX behavioral changes probably not to be blamed on music bee. ;)
