Have you tried dragging while holding down the CONTROL key? As stated a couple of times in this thread.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

That's not my problem, I'm not trying to move or copy the file. It's very easy to accidentally drag and drop a track from MusicBee to, say, the desktop (as I described in my original post.)
The purpose in being able to switch the copy and move functions for drag & drop is to avoid moving a file out of place in the file system without meaning to.
Actually, now that I think about it an option to simply lock or disallow drag & drop from MusicBee to outside the application would also accomplish this.

Here's a visual explaining what I mean...
I keep MusicBee in a smaller window, I made a quick movement to drag the window and dragged the music track to the desktop by mistake. Now it has moved from it's original place on my hard drive, so I have to dig through the file explorer and re-place it into its correct spot.
I realize the scenario is kind of dumb, but it has happened more than once and I think the option to lock the ability to drag & drop files from MusicBee to elsewhere in the file system (rather than switch copy/move functionality as I previously suggested) is a reasonable request.
