I have almost my complete music library in a network drive (mostly MP3). I didn't suffer much issues until now (3.3.7367 Store).

In the following screenshot you can see the list of my queued tracks. Pearl Jam's "Daughter" is playing...

When the track finishes, you can see an animation in the "player controls" (see screenshot below), and after 1-2 seconds animation the playback stops. I would expected that the next track "Glorified G" would play (like it always did in the past). The remaining track time, shows the right data, but not the track title...

The issue is reproduceable, but not with all tracks/albums. I guess it might be related with the file tags/codec/... or simply that MusicBee does not like Pearl Jam's Vs album... ???

What I could find out is that Pearl Jam's Vs tracks have their tag in APE format and are encoded in MPC while other albums not suffering this problem are in ID3v2.3 + MP3

Edit: I've re-encoded the problematic album in MP3 with Lame (and ID3v2.3) and playback works as expected. I guess it is something related to MPC or APE. However, the issue still appears on some AAC files (m4a). I guess I could provide the files to Steven if he cannot reproduce...

Done, you have a PM.

For the supplied MPC files is 100% reproduceable. For M4A unfortunately it is sporadic

I tried using the mpc files and could not reproduce any issues. Do you have any DSP plugins enabled or skip silence enabled on the player preferences?
Also the buffering graphic would normally only show for web files so that doesnt make sense

I do not have any DSP Plugin. The equalizer is disabled, but these are my player settings:

Only for testing, I have copied the two MPC files I sent you to my local hard drive and changed my library settings to also include that local folder. Playback worked without issues. I guess it is a problem with network files (LAN) ...

I guess I can add more information in order to help this issue get solved.

My library is in a network share. The network share is a USB stick (USB 2.0) connected to my wireless router (which has limited computing power). The wireless connection ~100Mbps.

I guess that the router computing power is a bottle neck. It probably takes longer to reply to SMB commands and provide the file to MusicBee. That might be the reason why I see the buffering graphic. Would it make sense that MusicBee starts buffering the next track before the current stops? I guess that would fix the issue when the library is stored in an external device with low bandwith.

Nevertheless, I am wondering why it only happens with MPC files and not MP3..
