Questions:

1.  What is the name and location of the MusicBee file in which Album Cover Art is embedded?

2.  Can this file be copied from one location to another without losing the embedded art?

Thanks,

Art

Embedded means just that. The image becomes part of the music file it relates to. There is no MB file where it's stored.

If you edit the track or album that has the image, right-click on it and you can copy it to the clipboard for pasting elsewhere. Or you can save the image to a location of your choice for archiving, etc.

Download the latest MusicBee v3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

Thanks, phred.  I am familiar with the concepts you mentioned.  My question was prompted by my observations that, when I copied my music files from one location to another, not all album-art photos showed up in the destination location - which surprised me because I thought that, once embedded in the music file, every photo would move with the files.

I have been able to recover those missing photos by repeating the copy process, after first removing all associated library files from the destination location, then recreating the library after completing the copying process.  I am still learning the little eccentricities of getting the most out of MusicBee and making it behave in accordance with my desires.

Best,

Art
