I've been messing around with MB for some months and have even hired someone on a couple occasions to help me figure it out. It is by far the most complicated music program I've ever dealt with. I thought I'd at least figured out--after many, many hours and some money spent on figuring out how to download new music in mp3 form and add it to the player so the program could find it, I discovered that, unlike with iTunes, you have to tell the program to Scan for New Files--otherwise it doesn't find them, even if you have dragged them into the MusicBee folder.
But now I'm finding that some of the tracks that I imported and put into playlists, the player can't find? My question is, Why? How many times, and in how many different ways, must I TELL this program where the music files are?
I'm talking here about files that I copied into the MusicBee file folder and then clicked on Scan for New Files, and that played fine a week or so ago. They are in playlists. And now I click on it and it says, "The source track for _____could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" Clicking Yes does not help, it just brings up a window in Windows File Finder with some folders on my Desktop.
Is there a simpler program that works with Windows 10--and isn't iTunes? (I gave up on iTunes for Windows, could never get it to find my music files, though I was happy with it when I had a Mac).
