In artwork view, when there are different artists in an album, the album's box underneath increases to show the different artists. This is alright for some compilation albums and an album with around 15 tracks or less.

But this feature can get pretty annoying for when the album is bigger, and I have to end up scrolling up and down to click one song or another. It's much worst when there are only one or two featured artists on the album, but because of this the album box increases to fit this. It's just pointless and I don't care to see those two artists enough to just increase the size and take over the layout, but I like to keep track of the artists in the artists box.

I just prefer the listing of JUST the tracks in artwork view, as well as not having featured artists as (ft. name) in the track name, which I think just looks a little tacky. The artist split feature was also made for putting featured artists in the artist box instead of the name box too. Any way I could change the layout, and have a way to switch between just the tracks, and tracks with the featured artists/songs by other artists?

Oh yeah sure. Here's an album with the described feature: http://imgur.com/a/ulDj4
If I want to add one or two artists, I can't without just making the box bigger and a little clunkier. It's not a huge problem at all, just a little annoyance I find when tagging these, especially with larger albums. When scrolling through my library and returning to the album, I have to centre it just right again to fit all the tracks on the album, which can get a little annoying. One or two features make an already big album even bigger, and a little more annoying to browse through. For just one or two artists, I don't think there's really much point in extending the boxes to show this.

I agree with this. Would be nice to cancel ARTIST field in artwork view when ALBUM ARTIST is not the same as in other ARTIST fields. It works well for compilations but for normal artist albums it doesn't (like in pictures above). Especially annoying when there is only one featured artist in all of album but whole album gets ARTIST filed under tracks then. It is annoying. Example:

Only ONE featured artist (track 9) but everything gets an ARTIST field under tracks.

But it works nice for compilations, so an option to turn on/off would be the best. Maybe using COMPILATION tag to see which album could use artists under tracks and which not:

In general I think layout configuring in artwork view needs more customization. Like here:

I would also like to add GENRE next to ALBUM SCORE (the number 73) but I can only do ONE!!

You can use a Virtual Tag for this.

+1 to the original issue, though.  If only the tracks with a different artist had the added info, that might work.

I'm not really expert at Virtual Tags, can you please explain more? Joining Album Score and Genre in one tag as a Virtual Tag? Do you mean like that?

Create a virtual tag (Tags (1) > Define New Tags) using <Album Score> and <Genre>, arranged however you like. Here's one you could copy & paste:

Score: <Album Score>, Genre: <Genre>
