MusicBee Wishlist / Re: On demand Music Streaming?
« on: May 14, 2012, 07:31:31 PM »
Oh I used GrooveShark's desktop app. It consumed so much RAM that I had to forget about it. It was essentially like loading the whole GrooveShark homepage from within a desktop application rather than a browser. What's the difference. Was no good, felt it was better to listen via browser. But that's not the point.

It would be great if you could implement it somehow, without affecting the RAM consumption so much, like how Freemake or RadioMaximus does.

It uses Youtube only for the embedded video on the left, not for the database I think. It has a vast database, could even play tamil songs

Yes that's why I told so. Spotify is close to nothing now. I don't know from where Freemake gets the database of songs. Anyways, its just awesome. There's also an embedded video feature. It played all the songs that I wanted too, especially even songs from my local language. Even RadioMaximus too is good. I couldn't even try Spotify, it isn't availalbe for my country, and there's a time limit too. 10hours wouldn't be enough for me.

It would be great if MB had this feature. There should be some way I hope. As said it would be the best of both worlds. :)

I don't want to have another application for the same, if MusicBee could include it. It would be a great addition..

Spotify was really popular & I thought to download it before, but when I read the latest news about it, I think it got crippled. Also t's available for users in certain countries only, not mine. Many features are only available in their premium version and moreover the worst part is that, it has a 10 hour cap/month.

Freemake MusicBox it's amazing. Available in all countries, large music collection, no restrictions or limits, pretty interface, lightweight and fast streaming.

MusicBee Wishlist / On demand Music Streaming?
« on: May 14, 2012, 12:52:50 PM »
I searched online for a desktop application that would let me stream on-demand music. No I didn't mean streaming Radio. By on-demand music I mean, you type in the name of the artist and all his songs from the database are listed, from which I can play and hear while it streams. So I don't have to download mp3's which saves me time and space. Better still, we can first hear the song before we opt to download.

I came across Freemake MusicBox, RadioMaximus and GrooveShark Desktop app that has this feature. GrooveShark consumes so much memory, so I gave up on it. RadioMaximus had this feature (no pause streaming & seekbar though), but the best one I loved was FreeMake MusicBox.

I was wondering if Steven would love to include this feature in MB. If it's possible then it would be a groundbreaking implementation  ;)

MusicBee Wishlist / Re: Update MB from the GUI

Thanks ma_t, but it would be better if, updates where checked through user interaction, rather than during every startup, which is more intrusive.

Steven, would it be a burden to show the changelog within the "About" menu of MB?

MusicBee Wishlist / Update MB from the GUI

Since MB does not have an internal update function, it would be quite useful if, there was an option within the "help" menu that would direct to the download page and/or to the post of the latest beta, so that users can stay updated.

Or Steven, is it practical to implement an internal update cheking facility within the interface of MB?

plesase do check the icons on the right. The toggling of shuffle icon to on and off needs to be worked upon as the user cannot distinguish between both

When am connected to internet the last.fm shows the artist pictures as a slideshow which i appreciate a lot but i want this feature to be there offline too. I can justify that atleast once you need to be connected to the internet but is there a method to save or anything else so that i can view when offline too because sometimes there won't be internet for hours or even days at a stretch here.

I just don't know how to express that how wonderful this skin is. But there is something that i don't like or personally speaking what i would change if i was the creator. The lyrics and details tab on the right that can be switched, you've coloured yellow for the highlighted one, but i guess the grey would be better for the one thats highlighted because when you have the 'details' highlighted it gives a sense that the chosen tab is 'lyrics' because it blends perfectly to the colour just below. Anyways, nice job and should be my default skin for weeks..:)

MusicBee Wishlist / Now Playing list on the left
« on: April 12, 2011, 03:12:43 AM »
Is there an option to push the now playing list to the left? Or could you plan it for the next update. Its because i just want the artwork and lyrics to be present on the right and particularly i dont want the setting on the main panel(bottom) which is the other option already provided.

Sarge good job and thanks for creating an yellow skin which is my favourite colour. Mellow Yellow II is better than the first because the first is too bright to handle for daily use, whereas the second looks much professional. Should say II is better than NachoBee because of the yellow elements you used for the writings( library, computer, internet, playlists, title, artist, album, playing track etc). All the colours blend so perfectly, also the highlighing of the minimize maximize close buttons on mouse over looks awesome and should be my default skin for the coming weeks unless someone (or you) comes out with another astonishing one!  ;D

Make the volume slider line( not the bar) to pink colour too  :) it would be better, as for now it can't be seen ! Also only the finished portion of the progress bar should be in pink, the rest should be in another colour probably white.

And great skin beistrich !just beautiful
