Questions / Custom tag not working in fields and sorting.

Hi,

I've made a tag to use it in sorting and might use it to display in fields. It shows me that it is OK in preview, but when I want to use it doesn't work.

Questions / A picture is corrupted, no longer exist or is in accessible.

Hi,

I have 6 files that always display this error. I tried different images, different locations, and different fixes and methods. The image does not display and when I import it, and when I go Edit > Artwork, an error is displayed saying :"A picture is corrupted, no longer exist or is in accessible."

Is there a fix for this problem?

Questions / No search results for "mp3", and "m4a", while "flac" shows results.

Hi,

In my library there are mp3, m4a, and flac files. When I type "mp3", and "m4a" in search field, however, no results show. That is not the case for "flac", which does show results.

What is the reason for this? And how to show results?

Questions / Tracks Analysis and Replay Gain...

Hi,

If I analyze tracks, will it only write the tracks' gain in the tags, or will it, also, change the gain they are played on? If write tags only, how can I play the adjusted gain?

My question maybe not be understandable because I did not yet comprehend the whole gain concept and how to apply it.

Hi,

I've made custom tags for some songs, and when I moved those songs to different library I noticed that the custom tags were gone. Is it something I did wrong or is it supposed to be like that?

Questions / Should track # and track total # be relative to the # of disc or to the album?

Hi,

If there was 5 tracks in first disc, and 7 tracks in the second disc and if the track is #8 of the total of the album.

In tagging, should I write track #8 of 12 disc 1 of 2, track #3 of 7 disc #1 of 2, or track #3 of 12 disc #1 of 2?

Questions / Functions $Contains and $Ismatch not working properly, or is it my fault?

Hi,

I am using the function $Contains to search for a certain word in the field <Artist>.

So if I wrote this in the artist filed : Artist with Artist

then I wrote in Virtual Tag $If($Contains(<Artist>,"with")="T", <Artist>,)

that does not work.

Why?

Questions / Failed to restore virtual tags and organizing presets...

Hi,

I've recently had to re-install windows. I have backed up the libraries manually. When I installed MusicBee, I've created new library and I put the "existing library" option destination to my backed up library. However, none of my previous settings (Virtual Tags, Organizing Presets, ..etc) were restored.

Why did that happen? And is it possible to get them back?

Questions / Album cover art, and artist's picture.

Hello,

In a track's artwork tag, I usually put the track's single cover art as primary, and I include the album cover art if exists. However, when I do that, the single cover art shows as the album cover art in MusicBee, unless I put the album cover art as the track's primary artwork.

Is there a way to make the album cover art shows without setting it to primary?

Also, can I add artist's picture to the library?

Hi,

Does "Analyze Volume" do as it say; "Analyze", or does it also modify/adjust the tracks' volume?

What is the difference between "on track basis" and "on album basis"?

And what is the meaning of the 2 ticks: "alert when... " and "calculate a single... "?



In "Convert Format", what does the "Permanently Adjust Volume" mean?

And what is the difference between "tracks to same value" and "albums to same value"?
