MusicBee Wishlist / Macro function

When I import a new album I repeat the same routine:

Volume replay gain calculation => File type conversion => Album art search => Tag editing

I wanted to macro these actions but I could not find an appropriate way.

Thus I am posting this to suggest automatizing simple tasks within MB.

MusicBee has be upgraded at least 70 times since the version you're using, so it would be beneficial for you to try this recent patch...

I am afraid whether I would be able to articulate this well enough:

In case of iTunes, the tag editor highlights the same item even though I press previous/next song button.

However, in MB, when I press the previous or next song button, the cursor just disappears

and I have to click the tag area again, which slows my process.

I wish this would be fixed in the next version

What version of MusicBee are you using?? (Menu > Help > About)

I just tried what I think you meant and all working as expected for me!

I have 10k files in my inbox (recently migrated from iTunes) and thus want to prioritize the artists w.r.t the # of songs.

Is there any way I can sort artist within inbox according to the # of songs?

Questions / How to sort out files with art cover information?

I want to conduct two tasks

1) Sort the files with album cover smaller than certain size (e.g. 200 x 200)

2) Sort the files with album cover whi ch is not stored within the files and stored as cover.jpg

Is there any way that MB can perform this?

There are unusd cover.jpg's or other empty folders with in my library.

Can MB scan entire library folder and delete orphan files or folders?

I wish there would be a separate recycle bin inside MB
where deleted files are stored so that I can easily recover when I deleted the file by accident

I wanted to make use of LastFM plugins, Wiki or web browsing in now playing bar inside the bottom panel

However, I couldn't see how I can enable that kind of feature. The tab just doesn't show up.

Is there anything I am missing?

Could anyone help me out?

Questions / Toggle between track / album replay gain?

Apologize if this was already covered elsewhere.

Is there any way to select whether MB would use track replay gain or album r.g?

It seems that MB is set to refer to track RG if available.

I don't just wanna remove track RG but want to switch between two RG valules.

Would anyone suggest me how I can control this?

In case of album or track replay gain calcuation,

do I have to select all files in the library?

or can I select specific  (newly imported) files so that their volume match with the existing files?

In your library window right-click the header bar and choose "set displayed fields";  in the "Other" column you'll find both Album Gain and Track Gain.  Once displayed you can then sort by them to group files together that have the tags.  I'm sure there's other ways to do it but that's one way.

As far as auto-skipping calculation for files with pre-existing gain tags, I don't know if that's possible.

I want to sort out the tracks without replay gain.

But it seems that smart playlist doesn't have feature to detect whether a file has replay gain or not.

Is there any smart way that I can only see the tracks with no replay gain?

Or, is there any way that I can make MB to skip the replay gain calculation if the file already has the replay gain?

Questions / How to fill in the lyricist/composer tags from existing tracks?

Hi,
I am really into filling in lyricist and composer tags of my tracks.
However, I have a bunch of compilation(best or live) albums which are composed of tracks already released in regular albums.
Is there any easy way to fill in the lyricist/composer tags from the existing tracks with same title?
