In Android 10 playlists do not work anymore. This is due to a change in how internal path are read.

Basically it comes down to prefixing every referenced music file with the string "/storage/emulated/0", as I stated here:

My suggestion would be to add an option to the playlist synchronisation menu where you can click a checkbox with something like "Device uses Android version 10 or higher".

Tips and Tricks / Fix invisible playlists for Android 10 phones
« on: April 18, 2020, 02:38:59 PM »
For Android 10 the internal addressing has been changed, so there are some manual steps needed to make them work again.

1. Connect your phone to the PC.

2. On your phone, click and hold the Play Music app (if you have that one installed), and click info. Force close the app.

3. Synchronize your playlists to the phone with MusicBee, choose M3U as playlist format.

4. In the meanwhile download and install NotePad++ on your PC.

5. Once the syncing is done, copy over the playlists from your phone (usually in /Internal Storage/Playlists) to your PC.

6. On your PC, open the playlist you want to fix in NotePad++.

7. Push the "Ctrl" + "F" buttons on your keyboard.

8. Here replace all the following instances of the stated path to prefix the string "/storage/emulated/0":

9. Safe the file.

10. Copy over the M3U file to the original on the phone and overwrite it.

11. If done right, your playlist will once again be recognized when you open your favourite music player. It might take a short while before the app has once again scanned the folder, so be patient.

MusicBee Wishlist / Change MTP device picture
« on: December 07, 2017, 12:31:04 PM »
I've searched the forum, but there is no mention how to change the iPod picture to something else. I would love to display a custom PNG file for every device I sync with it. Both because it looks cool, but also to organise different settings.

I hope this isn't too hard to implement? Thanks in advance!

/BTW: Been using Musicbee for over 7 years now and still loving the crap outta it! Keep it up!

Bug Reports / Media Controls on keyboard don't work
« on: May 31, 2016, 03:14:50 PM »
Like the title gives away: the multimedia buttons on my Logitech Wave Keyboard (Y-UV90) doesn't do anything with musicbee. Also, the button configurator doesn't seem to recognize them. MPHC and Windows Media player do work. I'm using W10 x64 and the latest drivers as well as the latest patch of musicbee 3. BTW, I start musicbee as an administrator to have less problems syncing with my phone.

MusicBee Wishlist / Chromecast Audio support
« on: October 16, 2015, 12:12:24 AM »
Pretty clear title I would think. Basically I would love to stream my classical music from my PC to the speakers on the other side of the room without cables or putting it on my phone which is full of other genres. Using a online-based streaming solution is less  tempting because of my slow and unreliable internet connection (old home plus low priority neighbourhood). Thanks in advance Steven or the enthousiastic plugin maker!

MusicBee Wishlist / Translucent layout modules and W7 docking
« on: March 07, 2012, 03:26:57 PM »
I've heard that you can do a lot of neat things with the .NET framework. It would be nice if Musicbee could behave like any other window in windows 7, for instance docking it to a side. Also modules that can be translucent would look nicer, though people should be able to have it as an option. I've made a quick mockup of the translucent modules. Everything but the top module should be a bit darker to enhance contrast. Also, the text should have a higher contrast, but that was too much work since this is enought to display the idea.
