Skins / Re: Skins on the wiki
« on: February 01, 2013, 05:09:12 PM »
So there would have been skin boxes, on top of flat gray background, on top of wavy background that goes to the edges of the window.  Does that sound right?
Yes, that is about right. I used all my skill and my years of training in primary school
and created this picture. The background I'm referring to is the area in red.

@Lakrits: are you referring to the whole site background?

The brown is definitely better, although it's still pretty strong on... color.  Think lower saturation.

No, just the wavy, metallic, 3D-ish background in the Skins section.
When you can't filter (in this case) visual input, a background with
too much "activity" makes your eyes unable to focus on the actual
content. I guess it's comparable to trying to have a serious conversation
in a very busy and load nightclub. The surroundings take too much of
your concentration.

[Edit: it seems to be gone now. Thanks. :)]

How does it look now?
That background is awful, it makes it next to impossible to focus on the actual content. That said, my disability makes these things worse than for the majority, but I would prefer a non-wavy and somewhat less loud background picture.

try
#NPL.tab.655DE83F#   Track Details
#NPL.tab.705229AC#   Lyrics
#NPL.tab.A90A4114#   Artwork

They work! Thanks :)

However, lower case letters with parts beneath the baseline (g, j, p, q and y) get cut off. So, the text needs to be raised just a wee bit.

Localization / Unlocalised strings
« on: January 24, 2013, 04:47:29 AM »
Hi Steven,

In version 2.1.4770, there are three unlocalised strings in the Now Playing panel's layout configuration window. They are three tab titles – Track Details, Lyrics and Artwork – under the section "Show track details". Please see the image below (click it to make it larger, if needed. This is apparently what my image host considers to be a "thumbnail" …), the strings in question are marked with a red border.

Consider it disregarded!

(BTW, my new coffee brewer has its filtering device on the left side, that's just not right….)

Hi Steven,

What do you mean by "left-and-right filtering" (Sys.ctl.D2C7F133)?
I can't quite figure out what it does …

MusicBee Wishlist / Re: Library quickjump
« on: January 01, 2013, 10:36:46 PM »
The type-to-find function is in a way already present in MusicBee. It is just not very
visible (or perhaps even not very intentional).

If you select an item in one of the sorting boxes' lists or in the track list, you can jump
in that list (inside that particular box). For the track list, the keyboard search is done in
the column that currently is used for sorting.

So, for example, if you select a track in the track list and then type the sequence KNO on
your keyboard, you will jump to the first post in the list's sorting column that starts with
the letters K, N and O (not case-sensitive).

Localization / Re: Latin | Lingua Latina
« on: December 29, 2012, 03:06:06 PM »

If you don't like, don't use it.

It was just a question, not a criticism.

And my answer wasn't an reactionary attack, but merely an observation. If anyone actually uses my translation is irrelevant to me, so if you don't like it, don't use it. This wasn't created to cater to the needs of any specific group. I did this for myself, and whether or not Steven wants to include it into MusicBee or if it'll be available only via this thread, is of no concern to me.

My disability makes me pretty much unable to be offended. I simply don't understand (nor care) if I someone meant to offend me or not, and in the event I actually do understand the situation, I usually do so months or even years after the occasion. Criticism, when constructive, is something I always welcome. However, living in a world with more or less normal people have taught me that most people interpret my responses as being attacks due to whatever reason. I guess that it stems from their own feelings, rather than mine. If you felt attacked, I apologise, it wasn't my intention. And don't worry. I'm not angry, offended or in any way negatively affected by your first post.

He, he! Imponerande!

Who would use this?
Probably no one.

I didn't think Latin was used anywhere outside of academia?
It isn't.

I did this as
1) an exercise, and
2) as a distraction when my illness took the best of me.

If you don't like it, don't use it.
