MusicBee Wishlist / Moving files from Inbox to Collection

When moving files from Inbox to Collection, by drag and drop, or by right click menu "Send to Collection", the tracks are actually COPIED to the Collection, not MOVED from the Inbox. Or did I miss anything???
It would be handy to have an option to move the tracks away from the Inbox

So it seems that I have a new item for the wishlist:

add an option to the Now Playing feature to start on the first item in the list as sorted in the Now Playing side panel when one plays an album now from the library or inbox pane (by clicking on the cover for instance), instead of starting on the first item as sorted in the current pane (Library for instance, or inbox)

Shall I ask that in a new thread?

Thanks a lot for the clarification.
So, I did change the sort order in that main window and the change is reflected in the side panel view correctly.

I now run into a last issue when clicking on a album cover in the inbox or right-clicking and "Play Now".
As you can see in this screenshot  http://vvcap.net/db/5bVlLqZ_FFG97goCQU0a.htp , the first song to be played in the first one in the order of the main panel instead of being the first one in the order in the side panel (which is now track number #1).

What would be logical it that the first song to be played in the Now Playing view is the first in listed there, not the first listed in the main windows where the Playing Now is being launched from, wouldn't it?

Is there a way to obtain that?

I have version 1.4.4418 in French
and right clicking on the NPL column header looks like that:

Tried in English US as well, still no such option "sort-by'
But maybe I'm looking at the wrong place

Hi

Actually, there is no such option "Sort by" in the Now Playlist list window for me.

And, while I can add any column to the NPL view and sort against it, firstly the sort order is just for display and not for play (I have to do a "Arrange playlist automatically" action to get the play order identical to the display order, secondly any sort order I put is not retained the next time I'm "Now playing" an album.

So, unless I missed something, the method you proposed does not work for me

In Album&tracks view, when right clicking on an album to play it now, all tracks are copied to the "Now playing" list, but the sort order of the tracks there seems to be the same order as in the library.
So, if you sort the library by descending creation date, the tracks are not sorted by track# in the "Now playing" list, while this would be the natural order.

So could a new option to the "Now Playing" preferences be added to automatically sort tracks by incr. track# when an album is
added to the "Now Playing" list? Or something like that

Note : this is somehow related to the issue that it is not possible to group tracks by album in the library, and list tracks by increasing track number within an album while sorting the albums themselves by descending creation date. Currently, tracks are also sorted by decreasing creation date.

A player that almost does what I'm looking for is Songbird with the Audio Bookmarks add-on (it does everything but using the duration to activate the feature).

I'm comparing the features between Songbird and MusicBee to see if I can switch to musicbee... and I think I could, as I only miss a couple of features, 3 actually identified so far. Maybe the're here already, but I could not find them

1st is the auto-bookmarking feature (see my previous post),
2nd is the removal of ads like ad-blocks on web pages
and 3rd is downloading audio streams from webpage in a same way as FlashGot with Firefox. This one is discussed here.

A page like this one http://sites.radiofrance.fr/francemusique/_c/php/emission/popupMP3.php?e=65000060&d=425005343 allows to replay radio shows as MP3 files streamed via a FlashPlayer. Flashgot allows to detect and download those files to the computer, like a manual podcast in a way.

In Songbird it is very convenient to do that within the application itself by using the integrated Firefox browser and the Flashgot addon, and the downloaded track is automatically added to the collection and immediately editable.

Would it be possible to do that as well with MusicBee and its browser one day?

Hello

Is there an auto-bookmarking feature already available? I haven't found it.

This would apply the same principle than audiobooks but on every track matching certain criteria: retain the location when stopping playing a track, and resume play to this location when the same track is played again. Wherever the track is located: music, podcasts, audiobooks.
This would apply on tracks of a certain genre (by settings, like "Podcasts", "Opera",...), or longer than a certain duration (threshold set by setting... a track longer than 10 minutes should stop&resume or instance, whatever the genre is. Could even be set to zero to apply on all tracks...).

[edit] I just have seen that the "Remember playback position" field is already there. So it is just a matter of filling it automatically...

MusicBee Wishlist / Automatic Configurated Proxy support

Hello

I'm an early user of Songbird who recently discovered MusicBee and is extremely and happily surprised by MusicBee promises!

I say promises only because I'm trying to use it behind an automatic configurated proxy with a proxy.pac file and I can't.So I lack the access to Internet which is one main feature I need in a music management tool.
Would you consider adding it in a near future?

Edit: actually, for the moment, I just have opened the proxy.pac file and taken a static proxy address from it.
