when you updated to v3.2, did you replace the existing musicbee.exe or did you set up a new folder for v3.2?
if you set up a new folder, and referenced the old library then you will run into this sort of issue ie. you should replace musicbee.exe from the v3.1 folder or alternatively set up a new library for the v3.2 portable folder

i have download all the portable zip file 12.802kb  ,and i update in the right folder overwriting all the files
i have tried to create a new portable version in another partition , import the audio files in this case , and they have no tags
weird because it happens with not all my music files
for example the new update does not read my audioslave albums but read correctly my radiohead album
it's very weird , mp3tag read them ,foobar too
i can post a screenshot of a new clean installation ,with my audioslave album tags missing
it's weird i know
these are screenshot of a new clean install , i have imported only 4 subfolders

and how you can see many songs have an exclamation point

1)
tag directly files without moving in the windows temp folder or at least add in the option the possibility to add/select a temp folder ,I really love musicbee under w7 i have no problem but with w10 even i have disabled every option of the antivirus when i play music with musicbee i got sometime the nasty windows message even when i try to rate a song

2)
a sound volume level analysis and boost the volume at the max ,something like aimp ,and it could be really very helpful & enjoyable playing old records like led zeppelin & an recent record , replaygain let sound weak

hi
i have update my portable version from 3.1.6512 to 6585 using

the full download, including updates to skins and localisations

and i had problem with metadata , i haven't change files tags but with the new version many albums tags are gone

for example look before the update , hope the screenshots are not too big

i reverted back to the prev version

did somebody suffer of the same weird audio issue?

ps are there the rule of the forum? i 'm used to get lost in the forum , i search for them without luck ,seeing i don't want to be banned for 1 week just because i opened topics. in the past it did happen to me and i was very sorry and scarry to ask something in this forum

Questions / can musicbee in wasapi event mode bypass my audio card drivers resampler?

my audio drivers are setup to 24bit and 48k

most of my songs are in flac 16bit and 44.1k , others are are 48k (mosly mp3)

well musicbee is in wasapi mode, event enable and resample it's disabled

musicbee with this settings does bypass my realtek audiocard resampler ?

ps i have search a lot for this answer , looking for wasapi ,event & push mode, i found many information but nothing relating bypassing audio card drivers resampler

about microsoft antivirus i can't find any option to esclude musicbee

Open Windows Defender Security Center> Virus & Threat protection> Virus & Threat protection settings> Exclusions

i did it too , i create an exclusion in the hips ,nothing
i have to uninstall the antivirus
but all the software can write tags directly can't understand why musicbee should move in a temp folder to tag it

The windows temp folder is used when recreating files as a result of tagging. Your windows account probably doesnt have write access on that temp folder so you need to correct that

but could be possibile to tag files direcltly without recreating files?
or at least is there a possibility to edit the preferences file ini and change the temp folder used by musicbee ,maybe i could try to change to temp files for musicbee to d:\temp

So was that your AV app that caused the issue? Why not try whitelisting MB from it?

i have included all the folder of musicbee in my whitelist of my antivirus
about microsoft antivirus i can't find any option to esclude musicbee
i have read lots of tutorial to disable totally the windows defender

why do i get this error when i tried to tag my songs?



accesso negato means access denied


but the song is located here


i have tried to tools -> tagging tools -> auto-tag  by track -> update using lasf.fm tag cloud

and i have tried to click on the song -> edit

this happen all audio format ,mp3 ,itunes mp4 and flac

the only way seems i need to uninstall my antivirus
windows 10 pro 64bit

maybe Steven could fix it ,for the new year

Yes, something like that, only with the right element name. But do not use the same name as the original skin since the skin list in MB menu doesn't show file extension.

and why the  i have to use a different name ? inside the skin folder they have the same name but with xmp extension (this should change the skin ,right?)

Of course. But you can't open the xmlc file with text editor, right? That's why you need to create an xml file to override the original skin. That's not creating a new skin but a way to tweak existing skins without source files.

and i have last.fm enabled and musicbee continue to write a long log , can i avoid this log

if that is the case they are using WASAPI shared mode which as far as i am aware is no different to just using DirectSound

but there are software like adobe audition cc or wavelab they can use wasapi or asio ,but in case of wasapi they don't preclude other application to play audio

and in this program like adobe audiotion cc there is wasapi (without any option like event or  exclusive or push)

could be done with musicbee?
or is a limit of musicbee?
