Phunny guy, hiccup. Phunny guy.
And that is only one of the things both of us agree on.
And, slap the idiot for the both of us?

Good that you solved it so quickly.

I never checked that particular setting, I'm gonna try if it may be useful for something?

strange. working fine here:

Nice skin!

Weird, then it is probably a result of me messing up that testing install or something else in some way.
(not sure I'm going to figure that out today though)

An unwanted space between < and Title, maybe?
Thanks. I can see that it looks like that, but no.

   $TitleCase(string)
    $TitleCase2(string,excepted_words)
    $TitleCase3(string,excepted_words,word_splitters)
    $TitleCase4(string,excepted_words,word_splitters,exception_chars)
Am I doing something stupid?

i don't think so. even if the current MB font (default or not) is accidentally coincided with plugin's own default font. checked option means that plugin will follow any changes of MB font in the future.
Thanks for explaining.
It indeed works as you suggested, I now understand.

Just an ocd observation:

By default:

- Neither of the two font options is checked.
Isn't using MusicBee font the default and shouldn't it be displaying a check by default?

@Bee-liever, 1st error means that you have duplicated tracks in the library. it should be fixed now:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/16sid3j34j3da4s/Tagging+Tools_2024-04-25.zip/file
Should that be a non-debugging version that should be used by the 'general population'?

I am asking because two posts lower you offer a download for a debugging version, but this first one also has some .pdb file included, which I assume is for debugging?

* New virtual tag functions:
Yes I will  ;-)

If later matching rules override earlier ones won't you get the desired result by listing your rules in the opposite order?
No, the issue is that any rule you place higher will get overruled by a lower positioned one if a lower rule has a track that adheres to it that is a higher track number.

When track 2 matches rule 1, and track1 matches rule 2, the highlighting for 2 will show.
Switching rules would only have affect for that particular case.

Since this is about 'album' highlighting, and not about 'highlight if/what comes first', I think this is a bug.

Oh, hiccup is going to love this. It looks like only Steven can make them disappear.
I am a patient boy.

I don't see anything that you're referring to on page one of Tips & Tricks. Perhaps someone already moved them. If you see some more, please send me the link via PM (so as to not populate the sub-forum.)
Strange, in this screenshot you can see seven of them, all on page one of Tips & Tricks:

Questions / Re: Tag values not remembered anymore

Could it be that the custom tags in question are set to a type other than String?

When you have one highlighting rule for the Album Cover view, it will properly display when at least one of the tracks adheres to that rule.
Irrespective if it is the first track, or another one.

Premise: If you have more than one highlighting rule, the first rule should always trump subsequent ones.

That will work fine if the first track of an album adheres to rule #1.
But if another track than the first one adheres to rule #1, and a track before it adheres to rule #2, the highlighting for rule #1 will not show for the album, but highlight #2 will show instead.

I would expect rule #1 to always trump subsequent ones if one of the album tracks adheres to it, irrespective of its track position.

@moder/administr-ators

On page one of the Tips & Tricks board are quite a few posts that have been marked 'MOVED:'
So they shouldn't be there, but they are still occupying space, making it more difficult to navigate through the actual Tips & Tricks.
Could these notifications be removed?
