MusicBee Wishlist / Library statistics: see more top artists
« on: July 13, 2023, 01:09:55 PM »
You can now see 5 top artists, i.e. the artists with the highest number of songs in the library. How difficult would it be to make that 10?
Thanks for this great system, Musicbee is simply the best.

Questions / playlists not visible
« on: January 24, 2021, 04:44:43 PM »
Hi, I save my playlists on the nas, in a subdirectory which is at same level as the songs, both subdirectories are on NAS drive V:.

However, in the playlists section in the left hand column I only see the sub-subdirectories.

I've had the files there before, so something changed or I changed something eratically. How do I get them back ?

thanks!

Questions / Re: MB stops working
« on: April 27, 2019, 02:43:08 PM »
reply to phred : parallels is a tool which enables to run windows on a mac. It's a virtual environment. Just added that info to be complete but it definitely is a windows environment in which I run MB.

No, MB is saving graphics in a series of songs and meanwhile, I do something else within MB, e.g. deleting a(nother) song.

Questions / MB stops working
« on: April 25, 2019, 04:31:52 PM »
Hi,
I use MB via Parallels on a Mac. When I add an album graphic to a series of songs and when I delete one song while MB is saving the songs, MB stops responding and needs to be restarted. I have the impression that the slightest effort is too much.
How can I see if this is a memory problem ?
Thanks.

Hi, is there a possibility that the main tracks list automatically shows the track that is currently playing ?
Thanks !!

Questions / Re: Title changed... back to original ?
« on: January 20, 2016, 09:14:26 PM »
Rescan worked perfectly !! What still puzzles me though, the initial changes were made days, weeks, months ago. Does it mean that the error was made during those changes and the original title came back after a rescan today ? How do I know that it was done correctly this time ?
Thanks anyhow, you made me save many hours of work !

Questions / Title changed... back to original ?
« on: January 20, 2016, 08:42:24 PM »
Hi,
I spent quite some time in improving quality by cleaning titles, e.g. removing the track number out of the title (01-A hard day's night --> A hard day's night). Today, I encounter several hundreds of tracks which seem to have their old title again. I have not recovered a backup or such a thing.
1) What could be the reason (so I can prevent in the future) ?
2) Aren't modifications I make within MB saved in the file ? (If they are, I really wonder what happened...). If I mail a sample, can you retrieve anything ?
3) Is there a way to do bulk cleaning ? There are really many tracks where I should just remove the first two digits in the title.
Thanks !

I guess this is a tough one and I know one can work around this with bootcamp and stuff, but it would still be a very very nice to have...

MusicBee Wishlist / save artwork in bulk for entire album or selection
« on: November 15, 2010, 04:17:47 PM »
Dear Steven,
First, thank you for this great tool, it is the best I've seen so far. A wish, though :
for an individual track, you can choose to embed the picture in the music file PLUS link it to a track (i've still got to find out the difference so I always tick both...) WITHOUT saving the found artwork to a folder.jpg. This is particularly practical e.g. when you have a bunch of different songs in one folder that are not of the same album. However, this only works song per song, I have not found the possibility to do it via the "edit" option (shift+enter). This would save me a real great deal of time !
Thanks and regards !
