I didn't realize this was fixed until I switched to some of my 192 kHz Star Wars soundtracks just now. Good job!

AFAIK, ASIO is supposed to hang and act funny if you try to switch the buffer size during playback.

I just bought an ADI-2 DAC and am encountering the same problem. It's a disaster when I switch to a track with a different sampling rate.

Forgive me; I haven't been following the development of 3.0 much. Most of what I've read concerns changes to the GUI and how it may be customized, but are there any major changes to core functionality, particularly anything that might improve sound quality even further?

Yes, it only occurs when something is playing. I usually hear a pop or click if I hit stop, double click on another track, or seek to another section of the track. I used to think that these pops or clicks were a natural result of interrupting a track, but now I'm not so sure.

This doesn't happen all the time, but it occurs very frequently. There is usually a pop or click whenever I double click a track to begin playing it or while another track is playing. This never occurs when a track starts naturally in a playlist and happens regardless of whether I'm using DirectSound, WASAPI, or ASIO. Is anyone else getting this?

Aside from a significant change to the GUI, could the developer share what the major changes are in 3.0? I have not followed its development because the latest version of MusicBee is already quite perfect to me, but the nearing release is stirring my curiosity.

Will there be any improvements to sound quality?

Questions / Is there a hard refresh function?

This is kind of moot, but is there a way to force MusicBee to force a refresh of music files without restarting the program? I know there's a refresh (F5) and rescan function (Insert), but I've found that neither of these will consistently update files to reflect the latest changes to their tags.

For instance, I was trying to wrap my head around why tracks with different artists were being grouped into separate albums even after I added album artist tags and refreshed/rescanned my libraries. I thought I was going about it all wrong until I decided to restart the program, which finally gave me the result I was looking for.

Questions / "Ignore words" filter only working under certain conditions?

For some reason, the "ignore words" filter is only working if I select "the following fields define an album" option under the grouping category (preferences > sorting/grouping). It doesn't work at all when I select "files for each album are organised in their own folder." Is this normal?

I get output via ASIO either way, so I'm not sure whether this should be checked or unchecked, or whether if it even makes a difference.
