Beyond MusicBee / Music Bee at the Top of the Site alternativeto.net

Hi guys, I recently discovered a website called "AlternativeTo".

This happened after a reading on the music bee forum when I searched on google for "apps like subsonic" and found a sequence of similar apps as well as lists of apps from tags, for example "music player, music library".

I saw that the music bee is listed on this site in a good position but has few hearts (495) and ratings compared to music players like foobar2000, Clementine and AIMP. The first place in the music library category is the VLC Media Player with 6768 hearts, it is above even spotify.

In conclusion, I came to suggest that you go to the music bee page on the website, give your heart and do the five star rating so that the media player is at the top and more people can get to know, use and recommend the music bee. (https://alternativeto.net/software/musicbee/about/)

Hi, welcome to the forum!

Honestly, your best bet is to make the files read-only. There's nothing configured in MusicBee by default that will change things without your input, but by making them read-only you don't have to tiptoe around being careful you don't accidentally edit a tag.

But if I enable the files as "Read Only" does this block that afterwards I can edit them manually in music bee or mp3tag?

What configuration is needed so that there is no chance for Music Bee to change tag information or album art automatically?

Is it possible to decrease the resolution of this "theater mode" by editing the corresponding XML file? if so, can you give an example of the field to be edited ?. My notebook has a 1366x768 resolution and when I use "theater fluent mode" there is a part below the screen that does not appear and that is why the play / pause buttons and skip do not appear (even in full screen)
