Questions / Playback Speed Hotkey?
« on: August 26, 2015, 02:10:28 AM »
Is there any way to assign a hotkey to increase/decrease playback speed? I listen to a lot of audiobooks and podcasts and this is the only thing that's stopping me from switching over to MusicBee for that.

Thanks. I downloaded the latest version but the hotkey only seems to work once. After that, it doesn't seem to trigger an action.

It looks like there is a hotkey available for this, but it's unassigned by default.
Edit > Preferences > Hotkeys > Edit: Save/Go to Next

Strange... I'm not seeing that. Using version 2.4.5404.

Is there a hotkey for the left/right arrow keys (pictured on the bottom left) to navigate back/forward when tagging multiple files?

Plugins / Re: Last.fm Similar Artists/Tracks
« on: February 15, 2013, 06:22:59 AM »
Love this plugin, Steven.

One minor gripe -- would it be possible to distinguish between Similar Tracks that are actually in your library and those that are not found in your library? Perhaps the tracks that are not found could be grayed out/dimmer in color. I often have no idea which tracks are in my library and which are not so I end up getting the "track not found in your library" error/alert all the time.

I get a tool-tip with mouse-over:

Yet I would also much like the image dimensions and file size to be shown fixed in sight beneath the image.

So +1

Oh hey, there is a tooltip. Whaddayaknow.  :-\

I keep getting this error (just downloaded the latest beta):

Some tag names are duplicated. Plugin is not properly initialized.

EDIT: When I open ASR, I receive this Error:

MusicBee Wishlist / Re: Split Screen for Inbox work

Love this idea, hope it gets implemented. I find myself switching back and forth from the Inbox to my Music Library all the time -- definitely gets cumbersome.

MusicBee Wishlist / Re: Right-click edit without a pop-out window
« on: February 13, 2013, 10:08:29 PM »
I am missing, now with MB and previously with MMonkey, the ability to change the values of a single file or infinite number of selected files at once, with just a right click, without it opening a window.  If I right-click over genre of say 10 highlighted songs, I wish to be able to change that genre right there.  Now regardless of where I click edit, it opens the screen that is saved to the last view-tab, too; it doesn't even take me to the value position of the item I wish to edit, based on where along the screen (over which column) I clicked edit.

In short.. I wish to select a file or as many as I wish, right click over for example genre column, one of the lines/boxes becomes editable, I type in the new value, hit enter, and the same value propagates to all selected files' same column.  Windows media player 10 still allows for this (in XP).

This would be pretty convenient, not gonna lie. +1 on the idea.

Perhaps it could work by selecting the tracks and hitting 'F2'? Not sure how it would determine what field to mass edit, though. I guess therein lies the problem. Any thoughts on how this might be implemented?

MusicBee Wishlist / Re: Amazing Whole Album Progress Bar
« on: February 13, 2013, 10:04:28 PM »
I think this is something not really difficult to do and could be amazing. A progress bar that covers the full album, with some kind of separators between tracks.

You can see how it works here [for example]: http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/products/producer/powered-by-kontakt/action-strings

Just click on 'Demo tracks'

Or see how it looks  :)

This is pretty nifty. I approve.

MusicBee Wishlist / Album Art Dimensions
« on: February 13, 2013, 10:02:56 PM »
I would love to be able to see see album art dimensions in the Editing panel under the Artwork tab. Is it possible? I am able to see them in Windows Explorer (the column is titled 'Dimensions'). Would be cool if there was an Album Art Dimensions column in Track Details view (like in Windows Explorer) -- though I'm not sure this makes sense as not all tracks have embedded album art, etc.

In the Editing panel, perhaps album art dimensions could be displayed in text or by hovering over the album art (or both!).

MusicBee Wishlist / Re: Color Coding Feature for Songs [Highlighting]
« on: February 02, 2013, 04:40:36 AM »
Is there any way to highlight songs whose title=30 characters? Another program truncated a bunch of my tags, so this would be pretty useful for me.

You can also use:
Title matches RegEx: ^[^\r\n]{30,30}$

straight into the highlighting rules

That did the trick, thank you so much (:

MusicBee Wishlist / Re: Right Panel Hide Option
« on: February 01, 2013, 08:19:23 AM »

It seems that selecting Left Navigator > Hidden actually hides the button circled. If you unhide it and click the circled button, the panel should collapse, and uncollapse only when you hover over it. Same for the right panel (in the latest version of MusicBee).

Not sure if that helps.
