Questions / Re: Can't sort music in auto playlist sourced from folders by dragging them
« on: July 09, 2019, 01:35:50 PM »I can't see why you would mess around with the contents of an auto--playist where the tracks are selected and ordered according to your set of rules. If you then start fiddling about adding or moving stuff around manually, that would indicate to me that using an non auto-playlist would better suit your needs, or is that just me being agedFor example, I want to put songs of certain language to a playlist and put these files to a folder. I should add these songs to library and put same tags on them, and organise these files in musicbee instead of file manager. But when I filter these songs by tag, I can't sort them freely. I just want to customize the order of songs of same language in a list. Only tags such as album or artist aren't enough.

Why auto-playlist? Because it's easy. I don't need to add songs to auto-playlist manually. So does deleting songs. I only need to put or delete files of same kind of songs in a folder, and auto-playlist can automatically show all songs in the folder. It's not more troublesome than using library, and this method provides almost all common features of using library. It can also avoid adding personal custom tags to music files.
Sounds like a nightmare scenario.
For simplistic sake, how about an auto-playlist that selects all those tracks for any given language, for example, use an empty tag like Grouping and add the language 'Grouping contains English' etc. pertaining to each and as many playlists required?
Unless you're tying to sort tracks from a huge number of different languages, then that could get a bit messy too!
There's probably a real easy way to do what you want, but not one that I'm aware of, sorry I cant help.

Thanks anyway.
As posted at #2, in foorbar2000 or AIMP, music in auto-playlist can be dragged to sort freely. But I also need excellent features of musicbee such as exporting m3u files for my android devices to sync my playlist.
I may have been used to online music software, such as 163 music or qq music in China, while you may use apple music. But music copyright is divided terribly by online providers in China. These softwares allow users to creat playlists in their account with music in the cloud, so as to sync to any Internet devices. And music in these playlist can be sorted freely.
