MusicBee Wishlist / Re: Quick switching between directsound and asio
« on: September 01, 2018, 11:53:36 AM »
I just wanted to make the same wish.. 8)

I found the function I want in the context menu of a song: RMB -> Play More... -> Output To
and I'd prefer to have this device list near the play button or the loudspeaker symbol of the player.

In my opinion, that's where it belongs since it applies to the current playback and not to one song.

Also, nowadays it is not uncommon to have more than one standard output device so that functionality became more important over the last years.

Not what I expected but it works.

I didn't know of auto-playlist and now I wonder what the difference is (speaking of features)..

Anyway, thanks for the quick and profound help

Questions / Filter in inbox?
« on: August 31, 2018, 10:14:34 PM »
Hi,

how can I create a filter on files in the inbox only?

E.g. a filter showing only the FLACs in the inbox.

Thanks

No, that was just a wrong translation.

I found the cause: the tracknumber tags were already set from 1 to 20.
The infer function added the leading zero to 1 to 9 and listed them as changed tags, while the result shown for tracks 10 to 20 was "no change". I assumed that the tracknumber-pattern was ignored, looks like it was not.

Case closed, thanks for the help.

BTW: there should be a wildcard for the patterns to ignore parts of the names (e.g. "<Artist> - *<Track#>" would set "Band - a string 01" to artist="Band" and tracknumber=1), or is there already?

Hi,

when I use the pattern "<Artist> - Track <Title#>" for filename "The Band - Track 01.flac", I get the tags artist="The Band" and Tracknumber=1, that's okay.

But for a file named "The Band - Track 10.flac" it does not recognize the tracknumber.

What am I doing wrong? How can I set the tracknumbers 10 to 20?

I downloaded 1.1.0 installer and tried to install on windows 109 (with admin rights)

Cant install it because the Install-button is greyed out. No hint why. Trying to choose another installation directory is impossible because in the dialog I can't choose one: the Ok button is greye. No hint why.

My guess is it's possible. Awesome, you might say. ;D
Go into the settings, then the connection manager. You can add or scan another PC, make sure that Musicbee with the RC-addon is running there.
Once you successfully added it, you should be able to switch the PC you're controlling in the connection manager.

I hope that's what you were looking for.  not sure if you can control 2 PCs at the same time (like starting them simultaneously).

Plugins / Suggestions for Changes
« on: August 21, 2012, 08:25:00 PM »
Hi, I'm using this remote control regularly now and have some proposals.

 - When I try to change the volume, a menu with the entry "Lyrics" pops up and disturbs me. Can you remove it or don't pop it up near the volume slide?
- Can you make the volume slider larger in landscape mode? And accept the hardware + / - button too for volume changes?
- The Auto-DJ function very often chooses songs I don't like. If I don't remove it immediately, it will choose many more of these ugly songs. Can you implement the "remove song from playlist" please? (Would be nice to have full editable playlists though.)

Thanks to that good work, I don't need winamp any more...

Hello,

Thanks for your efforts, developer(s)! The application looks really useful, but I'm having troubles getting it to connect. I'm pretty sure my IP address is right (found it via ipconfig, the one that starts with 192.168...,right?), and I'm using the standard port (3000), but all I get is a connect error after a couple of minutes. Am I overlooking something?

Did you open your firewall on the PC?

Not consciously, but I do see MusicBee in the list of allowed programs in my firewall settings (twice, with the boxes checked). Should that be enough, or do I need to open the port on my router or something?

Depends on what the checkboxes mean...  :)
I don't think you need to open the router, assuming we are talking about the usual home-use router that connects your LAN with the internet and both, PC and SmartPhone are part of the LAN.
I usually do it like this: set the firewall to "learn"mode and wait for the question window telling me that something wants to connect to the PC or that something on the PC acts as a server.
To test, you may also turn off the firewall and try to connect. If it works, then you need to change the firewall setup. But don't let it open for too long, there are "dragons and beasties out there in the night to snatch you if you fall".

Oops! Sorry, only tried the first one.

Newer Version of the plugin. This one won't crash on bad cover data. http://www.mediafire.com/?zktxur7241a817b
I suggest you edit your OP every time you make an update and enter there the latest URL for the download. That would make it easier to find it, specially if many people posted after you added a new version.

I'm so glad you're doing this , thanks so much.

-edit-
oops, kelsos is not the OP!
How about starting a new thread than and close this one with a link to the new one?

This is the only reason why I don't use MusicBee: The missing android remote control.

... but: I don't see a volume control in the layout... this is the function I use the most

-edit- oops.. found it... it's the big one! Very nice
I thought the volume slider is the song position locator.. this is much better!

Can I have it ? :)
